The Ibis Styles Gatwick as a budget hotel punches well above its weight Fairly in some reviews people comment on small rooms with no storage space, but I doubt many guests stay more than 1 night due to the convenience of its position next to Gatwick airport. We arrived mid afternoon and were quickly checked in, although there was a brief panic when it was thought there were no twin rooms available as booked!! The staff were friendly, helpful and informative, throughout our time there. Our room was on the 6th floor but the clear instructions got us to our room quickly. The rooms are small, but spotlessly clean with facilities to make hot drinks, a great shower and very large television. We had half board which we booked through booking, but only because this option didn’t show on the Accor loyalty app ( well I couldn’t find it anyway) The evening meal was from a varied menu with 2 courses included and a drink. The food was excellent, and bar and kitchen staff were great, many of them were dressed up for Halloween, and they genuinely seemed happy that we were happy. I will definitely use this hotel again in the future.

I have stayed in dozens of hotels and I have to say our room here was one of the nicest! It was spacious and spotlessly clean but above all decorated with so many lovely, thoughtfully chosen travel prints that it felt as if we were already on holiday! Most one-night hotels are bland and boring - this room felt as if A LOT of thought had gone into it. Hooks to hang your coat on, a fully stocked tea/coffee station and friendly staff (thanks the woman on duty on 17/10 evening and Ghan and Tom on 18/10) who really made us feel welcome. I did NOT expect this from an airport hotel but I can truly say they went above and beyond. Will defintely stay here again - especially as it was so affordable. The shuttle to the airport is also a nice touch.

The location was not as advertised. It's disappointing that it's difficult to reach central London from here. No wardrobe in the room and below-average breakfast. This hotel doesn't match its current rating. Think twice before booking here.

Very welcoming and helpful personnel. Restaurant and bar. Clean room and comfortable bed. Excellent bathroom with big fluffy towels. Good breakfast included with plenty of choice, also coffee/tea in the room. Handy shuttle service from and to the terminal
