It’s a nice pleasant stay, as expected from Novotel hotels. One small note is the green algae stains in the bathtub in room 505, and the occasional knocking from some repairs works from the adjacent room during the first 2 days that I wasn’t notified. Otherwise, it’s a pleasant comfy stay and we enjoyed throughout the 5 days we stayed. Thanks for the complimentary minibar :)

Forgive me for not remembering all names, as everyone I dealt was fantastic, but I was there over the weekend and I had the loveliest service at your front desk - they should all feel so proud of their warmth, engagement & care. Truly. They all shone. And I had a drink at the bar then a room service meal on Sunday night, and again, such great service. Genuine manaakitanga. That requires real effort - and everyone I dealt with, made it. Congratulations. And thank you. It really does matter.

Hotel, room, amenities and check in staff were amazing! The only let down was at dinner when the staff did not come and ask us if we wanted to order drinks. They didnt even offer us any water. We had to go ask for a jug of water half an hour into dinner

The room was ok, the hotel needs some upgrades e.g the carpet in public areas has all lifted & is a trip hazard. but the area needing the most help is the restaurant. We ate at the buffet & were there at 7.30 and the food looked like it had been there since the night before. The beef was inedible it was so dry & the lamb casserole had no sauce left it had dried out so much. For desert there was a self saucing pudding that had no sauce left & custard that the chef forgot to add any sweetener to. Then to top it off, while we were at the buffet, the waitress took our glasses of wine & water. (Incidentally, she never once attempted to remove the mountains of plates with inedible food on them). When we complained to the manager he agreed the food was not up to standard but still charged us for it. I wouldn’t stay there again.
