ibis Budapest City 3 gwiazdki

Should have realised when I booked that it may not quite meet our expectations !!...However a few days stay and it was fine for transport and restaurants etc. Staff pleasant and everything clean. Breakfast was OK, nothing special and our room was functional. The bed was cheap and the pillows far too soft, so sleep quality was not great...Such a shame. I think the best thing to say is the place lacks comfort, its all very functional. Need to choose better on our next trip.

This was my first stay in the Ibis Budapest City Hotel and I must say our stay was superb. Booked in immediately after our two and a half hour flight and forty minute transport on bus and metro ,we were allocated room 308 on the third floor , a twin room ,room was spotlessly clean ,flat screen tv and lots of storage space . We had breakfast included which was superb ,good choice of hot and cold offerings ,loved the cakes here ,tea ,coffee and chocolate was delicious and nice cold drinks ,hotel bar was cool ,enjoyed wines and beers here and location could not be better ,lots of pubs,bars,cafés and restaurants close by ,easy transport links ,metro,tram and busses which whisked you to all area's of the city ,I have to mention the staff ,made our stay here so pleasant ,from reception staff ,kitchen staff and the staff who cleaned our room so well each morning ,really good bunch in here ,we loved our six nights in here ,I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when I'm next in Budapest ,a city I love to visit.

Ibis Budapest City is an excellent Ibis hotel that's located on Akácfa Útca where there are many pubs/bars and restaurants. This is an excellent Ibis hotel that's located by superb transport links.The brilliant hotel has a very modern look and feel with many interesting fixtures and features. The room we where allocated was modern and very clean.The bed's were superb and the breakfast's were varied and everything was there to start your day off. Me and my twin brother have stayed in lots of Ibis hotels throughout Europe and this is up there with the best of them.The room we stayed in (308) was brilliant the staff where excellent and the area the hotel is located couldn't be better. All In all a superb hotel in a superb area of the city centre and a hotel that we will stay in again on our next trip to Budapest. Really easy to locate from the Blaha Lujza Tér bus/tram and metro stop it's a minute's walk away.(This is my first review of the Ibis Budapest City). Public Transport. Bus Stop. Stayed here for 5 nights on a holiday trip to Hungary. The hotel was very average. Staff were okay, although some weren't too friendly. The hotel room was very bland and basic. The water from the shower would leak through on to the floor. There also wasn't a lot of choice of breakfast options in a morning, I would have expected fried egg and bacon to be on the menu. On a positive, the room was always cleaned properly in a morning. I'm unlikely to return to this hotel if I make another visit to Hungary in the future.
