Great Location, Poor Service

While the location was super convenient with plenty of cafes, supermarkets, shops and a metro station within walking distance, the service was poor. During our stay we requested a complimentary lotion which the front desk told us would be sent up (it never was) and our room's AC was virtually off most of the day. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because it offered AC. Thankfully we could open the window but in the middle of July, there's only so much the Paris breeze can do. When we informed the front desk, they let us know that they would send someone up to turn on the fan, which also never happened. The employees at the front desk were kind but there seemed to be some sort of miscommunication that led to none of our requests being completed. This is a great place to stay if you need somewhere affordable and easy to get to the city for a short term trip. I would not recommend if you're traveling with children or looking for a long-term stay.

Bad service, but rooms are worse

On the All Accor website, you search (and pay for) a hotel with a 4 * room, clean, with air conditioning and 4 * service. Wrong. You are in an old hotel, with leaking pipes even at the reception (see photo). Basically you are in a Motel, without working air conditioning in the rooms, without working fridge, with a very very hot room that is not clean, without the possibility of sleeping even with open door and open window. However, you can complain, of course. And at the reception: they don't do anything, they tell you they can't do anything about it, they give you a fan that you have to keep on the threshold of the door to let the air in from the corridor. Great solution, so no one sleeps! (see photo) You obviously leave the hotel earlier than the booking, and they (after two hours of discussion, at night, since during the day they didn't warn you that they wouldn't fix the air conditioning and fridge) they write you that they will refund your money, and they write you by when they will refund you. Then you go away sure they will refund you: they wrote it to you! And then they don't. Then you call them back and write to them. And they don't answer you. So probably at the end, if no one will reply to your email, to your complain form, to your calls, you will need to go to a lawyer to have your money back. I will write here the end of this unlucky holyday, when it will come to an end

Breakfast time finishes too early,and I found awful stains on tbe carpet. Size of the room is OK and people working there are helpful. It is next to Libertè Metro Station and the neighborhood has some good restaurants. There is even a very beautiful park next door to chill.

Nous regrettons de ne pas avoir répondu totalement à vos attentes et vous présentons toutes nos excuses. Le petit-déjeuner Buffet est servi entre 6h30 et 9h30 en semaine et jusqu'à 11h00 les week-ends, jours fériés et vacances scolaires. I stayed three nights. At one of the evenings coming back to my room i realized it was not cleaned, towels were not replaced and there was no toilet paper. Upon my complaint I was offered a half used on Toilet paper. No one came to visit the conditions of the room, I was not asked if I need anything else and even not an apology - not to mention a proper compensation. I would never recommend coming back to the hotel, in which I was for the conference I participated in

Well . . . I was never able to stay at the hotel! I booked an event that was changed a few times because of COVID. Eventually, the event moved to a different location. Therefore, I needed a refund for my stay. The hotel was remarkably efficient at processing it. They called me at home for my details and the refund was in my bank in a very timely fashion! Thank you Novotel Paris Sud Porte de Charenton! Hopefully, I will visit one day.
