Just completed another 3 night stay and this one was more mixed compared to my previous, very enjoyable ones. Nothing overly dramatic but I was definitely not completely satisfied. The room I had booked was an executive suite of which the hotel has two only. The room (539) they allocated was the only suite at the hotel I never stayed in and I was not impressed on several levels: The layout is L shaped and awkward. The bedroom when entering on the right has a decent size but towards the left is a smaller stretched room which had a sofa(bed), mini bar and a bathtub, leading out to the terrace. Very odd combination. It also featured a small table with the Nespresso machine. This room just did not work for me. The room, while serviceable, needed more maintenance care. There was water damage in the living room corner ceiling and the surround of the bathtub was also in urgent need of a repaint. As to the bathtub (not sure how useful these really are) no toiletries (bath salts, shampoo etc.) were placed there. The only way to get bath products would have been to walk all the way back to the bathroom off the bedroom to the wall fixed dispensers. Who does this? In the past they offered Acqua di Parma but Acqua no longer supply anything below 5* hotels (this is 4*). Now on offer in the suites is Roberto Cavalli, rest of the rooms get Culti. A chat with management was useful but unfortunately no other suite was available. The only solution was to change on the last night to the suite I last stayed and liked but the aircon was wonky. So I stayed put but they offered a reduction in the rate. To list some small niggles: TV has no chromecast and more than half of the TV channels were not working, housekeeping did not replace an empty shower gel dispenser (a new one was quickly delivered when pointed out), nor replaced fully the coffee courtesy tray contents. A bigger niggle was the fact that they now try to charge a €5 fee for room delivery of ice. I told management exactly what I thought of this nickel and dimming of guests. This is not the US. Just stop it. Nobody told or reminded me that the minibar was free for Diamond members until I checked out, would have been nice to know during the stay. The excellent bar remained as before (welcome drink includes cocktails) and the restaurant also was unchanged. It was lovely having breakfast on the restaurant terrace, just watch out of the local crime family, e.g. seagulls. Late checkout for this room was not possible but they gave me another room until 18h which I very much appreciated. So overall a more mixed picture but I hope management will act on the shortcomings we discussed. Next time, and I will definitely be back, I will request the specific room I want.

The hotel is located at a great spot for catching he Vaperatto's. The rooms were very nice and the hotel extreamly comfortable. The service was great.

We had a great stay. The hotel is close to Santa Lucia station. Easy walk with small bags. No need for a water taxi. Hotel staff very helpful and alway meet you with a smile

We had two standard rooms — clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. The real standout is the location: conveniently close to restaurants, the sights, and the train station, which matters enormously in a city where everything means walking or a water taxi. The staff were extremely helpful throughout. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to be well-positioned in Venice.

We recently had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Venice Papadopoli Hotel MGallery in a very comfortable suite and our whole time there was relaxing and restful. And what a fabulous location! So easy to get to and from the bus and train stations and to hop on and off the vaporetto but in a quiet setting next to the park. We can’t praise the staff enough - they were friendly and welcoming and also very helpful whenever we needed anything, including finding a stand-alone mirror when our suite didn’t have any wall ones close to a power point for hair drying/styling (the only one was in the bathroom). The breakfasts were excellent and we really appreciated the large and varied range of items available, and the staff there deserve special mention for their friendliness, efficiency and cheerfulness. We will certainly stay again!
