It was very dry in the hotel room. Actually booked the wrong hotel, first wanted to go to the Mercure "Mitte" as it is closer to my company. later found out that the "City" hotel was the better choice because of the location.

Late arrival, nice people welcoming you, good decaf in the room, early coffee in the room while doing emails, no breakfast, clean room and bathroom.

The hotel is fine but really basic. The rooms are spacious but everything is quite old. I understand that the hotel is going through renovation but I was surprised that the “double bed” was indeed two single beds combined, there was no air conditioning in the rooms but quite and old heating system, the breakfast offering was quite basic as well. It was noisy in the morning (possibly due to construction work in the building)

I think you've reached the peak - 400 EUR a night for this room is the triple that you'd normally charge. Keep in mind that many companies don't have the money anymore to lift this burden... After asking for a toothpaste at the reception (forgot mine at home), it was quite ridiculous to get charged 1 EUR for this - after just paying 800 EUR for two nights... Do you know what impression you leave on your clients with such actions?

Dear Daniel, thank you very much for your honest review! You were in town for the EuroTier trade fair, the world's leading trade fair for professional livestock farming. Hanover's hotel industry lives from the trade fairs, the demand for hotel rooms cannot be much better at these times and the price is also based on this. Our hotel has to adapt to the market in Hanover during these periods and charge a trade fair price. Most guests are also willing to pay this. Of course, these prices are no comparison to our regular daily rates. You are absolutely right. The hotel industry operates a flexible pricing system. Supply and demand determine the price - similar to flights and concert tickets. We are very sorry that you were not satisfied with our price-performance ratio and we apologize for this.
