The location of this hotel is good, there’s a tram stop right across the road, a main train station down the road and a main shopping street round the corner. This was unfortunately the only good thing about this hotel. We were in room 1223 (but after reading other reviews it seems to be a common problem with most rooms) the rooms are far too hot!!! There isn’t any AC at all, we could open the window a little bit but it didn’t make all that much difference. We literally felt like we were being cooked alive during the night and that’s with sleeping without a blanket over me. It was unbearable, when I mentioned it to reception they said they would send someone up to look at it and potentially provide a fan for us. When we went back up all they had done was mess around with the switches (which weren’t working to begin with). Sorry to say I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for this reason and the fact its extremely dated

Stayed here a few nights. My room on the 9th floor had a very nice view of the city. The bed was comfortable and I liked the long desk table near the window. The bathroom shower was a bit small but nothing deal breaking. There’s a restaurant at the ground floor. The hotel is close to the light rail street car public transportation. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the actual train station so it’s pretty convenient. Bonus: the big bus tour stops right in front of the hotel making this a great hotel for sightseeing. Would recommend!

Location os good with access to public transport and the Big bus stop is right in front. Rooms are clean, i thought that the bed provided is small for 2 people. Breakfast area is too small, morning after 8 becomes really crowded like a school cafeteria…! If you are looking for a bed and breakfast..its a good option

Ok stay, very basic hotel, - but AC basically non-existant

Basic and a bit tired hotel, room was clean and staff were friendly. However the AC was basically non existant, it was incredibly warm and stuff in the room making it really difficult to sleep. Even with window shut and AC on full blast it did virtually nothing. We spoke to several other guests who were attending the same event as us and they experienced the same issues with the AC. We were originally only provided with one pillow each which just smushed down into nothingness. The duvet was not wide enough for the bed - seemed more like a single duvet. The breakfast was ok - wide selection but basic not high quailty food. The location is great and all the staff we came into contact with were friendly and efficient. Room ammenties were minimal- only a tiny bin in the bathroom and no kettle/hot drink facilitites. Would only stay here again if the AC was improved as it really affected our ability to sleep.

This Ibis Hotel is ideally located only 20 minutes from the train station with a tram stop outside the front door. The room was well decorated but no tea making facilities are provided. We were out of our room by 9.00am each morning and did not return until 15.00 but our room was not made up on any of the days of our 3 night stay. There are several good restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the hotel making this an ideal location to stay.
