staff overbooked and refused to take responsibility

We were sent to this hotel by American Airlines. The staff (very rudely) refused to honor the reservation (apparently they had overbooked their rooms). They waved us off, falsely claiming that our reservation had "really" been made at the other Ibis down the road (it was not), that this next Ibis "was only fifteen minutes walk" (more like half an hour, on a rainy night in January). They had no concern at all for the obligations they had assumed, nor for our welfare--they were only interested in getting rid of us as quickly as possible and covering for their error in overbooking. Totally untrustworthy (and very rude as well).

Ibis Heathrow Airport is a good hotel, I give it an average score of 4/5. Great location and clean, convenient room. Rooms are not fully sound proof, thats the only downside. Good breakfast. Recommended if you have an flight from Heathrow.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Room had enough space to fit 3 huge suitcases, work desk was enough for work. Bed linens were fresh and clean, and thankfully without any smelly detergent applied (it means a lot to me, as I have smell sensitivity). Thick walls and double windows. When windows were closed, room was absolutely quiet. Of course, if you open windows for a bit of fresh air, you can hear some airport sounds. Downstairs was a little supply of juices and sandwiches, and you can also eat a normal meal. Friendly staff. Bus stop round the corner, which brings you to Elizabeth line. Very positive experience! Would definitely stay again.

Good choice for Heathrow Airport

Good location for Heathrow Airport, and local buses to other areas. Nice clean rooms, and bathroom. The room can get a little warm, but the window can be opened with a safety restriction for some fresh air. Good restaurant, and bar area. Friendly staff on reception.

Cosy and toasty

You can’t go wrong with this hotel. It’s cheap and cheerful. Stayed overnight to catch an early flight and we actually really enjoyed it. Played a game of pool and had a few drinks. Hotel was really toasty and cozy. Staff mega polite and helpful. Defo come bk if I have another Heathrow flight.
