As a frequent visitor to this hotel, I have nothing complaint as the staff has been always friendly with professionalism. Today I was invited to check in at the priority desk (as a little silver member), the staff Omar was very helpful and efficient. He was very polite and patient even there was a group of people surrounding the check in desk, he patiently asked the group to move a little bit away in order to keep the privacy of mine. Sadly the group just ignored and kept talking so loudly which I barely listen what Omat said to me. My compliment to Omar and the staff here. It’s always good to stay a night here before flight.

Very Disappointing

Shuttle bus from the airport was an hour between pick-up but was very late and there was a HUGE queue of people waiting. Getting to the hotel there was only one guy doing the check-in for a massive queue. Room was tiny, really hot and the control seemed to do nothing! Bed was uncomfortable. After a long journey needed a drink, but no coffee facilities in the room. Despite the time (around 6pm) still piles of dirty linen in the corridors Food (loaded fries) from the burger restaurant was DISGUSTING and expensive, also a long wait to get it as all the staff bar one seemed to be being trained and had no idea! Paid 189 Euro for the night - TOTAL RIP OFF, not worth half that!

Excellent check in by Lucia. High floor twin bed room as requested. Slippery shower floor was a negative. Beds very comfy but I was disappointed by zero free coffee in foyer. A kind staff member supplied me one anyway! This hotel offers a safe haven for solo females and a few snacks from Albert Heijn at airport was a great way to dine, sleep and revive after my long flight. See you in 2025! Amsterdam Lodging Without The Hassle

Stayed at The Ibis at Schiphol Airport recently on our last two days in The Netherlands. Stayed here last year and decided to do it again this year. The location by the airport is convenient for arrivals and departures, and the free and frequent hotel shuttle to the airport makes the train trip from the airport to downtown Amsterdam very easy. The hotel is modern, comfortable and quiet, the staff is accommodating, and the price is reasonable. Granted - the airport off-site location is not in central Amsterdam, but, if you've visited Amsterdam recently, this is a definite plus. Crowded Amsterdam is best appreciated these days in small doses. In addition, train travel for day trips from Schiphol Airport to virtually anywhere in The Netherlands is highly recommended as Amsterdam Central Station is currently best avoided during its massive, and disruptive, renovations.

My wife and I booked a night at the IBIS the day prior to our early morning flight back to Canada. We arrived late afternoon via the shuttle, after taking the train to Schiphol from Arnhem. My wife had been ill that morning, having picked up a virus from a family member. Long story short, after checking in and receiving our room keys, my wife became unwell. She was sitting in one of the lobby chairs when she lost consciousness. I immediately called for assistance, and the response took less than one minute. A staff member with first-aid training and carrying a medical bag assessed her and helped her regain consciousness. The duty manager stood beside me while he called 0911 and was also in communication with a doctor's post receiving advice. A third staff member was nearby at the ready, in case anything was needed. My wife, thankfully, recovered quickly. However, the staff member stayed with her for 15 minutes, showing great kindness and consideration. The duty manager helped me bring all of our luggage up to our room. I was also offered "a beverage or anything else that I needed". An EMS team soon arrived and provided testing/assessment in their ambulance. Overall, a 5-star response, that was greatly appreciated. Thanks again to all who provided assistance. The hotel is large, but friendly. There are multiple varied hospitality and food options to meet the needs of all travellers. The facility is very clean. Rooms are compact but very functional. The 15-minute shuttle bus to the terminal runs very regularly.
