Arrived at 10pm. First room was still unmade from the previous occupants. Given a new room which was uninspiring and dirty. Bathroom smelt of urine, balcony dirty, curtains and chair dirty. View overlooking a wall covered in green and black mould. This room was $375 and unacceptable.

The resort is beautiful. Big and has many rooms. Conveniently located. Customer service requires improvement. Instead of making you feel welcome, it was a mechanical processof checking you in. We arrived at 1pm but was told the room was not ready as check in was a 3pm. No effort was made to accommodate us as I am sure with a resort sobig there were rooms available. Instead we waited past 3pm for our room to be finally available. We stayec for 4 nights. On the last night there was problems with my connectivity to the wifi. Everytime they say someone will come to help, we just wait and wait. So instead we walked to reception. After one of the receptionist connected us to their ITsupport, it worked and then stopped. When I called reception again, I was told to wait because he could not handle wifi issues and the other person was somewhere in the hotel. Staff needs to be trained for dealing with customers complaints. Overall I expected a higher level of experience at an Accor hotel but was disappointed. But they did leave a bottle of sparkling wine and 2 chocolates for our anniversary. That was nice Expected a higher level of service at this hotel

This place was mainly ok but just needs a few fixed. Bar service was average to be fair. Wasn't overly busy but took 8-10mins to get served. Reception only ever had 2 people on. Location was great! Very comfortable. Complex overall needs TLC!

Spent a couple of nights at this hotel as part of a workshop meeting on site. Location is great and only a couple of minutes walk from Esplanade in central Cairns. Lovely lobby area and pleasant welcome. I had a very nice room with views of the central pool. Though poolside a very quiet and comfortable room. Lovely desk area with lots of room to set up a laptop. Staff pleasant and service nice. The meeting facilities were also excellent. A very nice experience and highly recommended.

This was the second time that we stayed at the Novotel and it was great! Awesome place to stay with a young family close to all that we needed. If it were up to the kids, we would have stayed in the pool the whole time we were in Cairns. All the staff were amazing, however calling out Mel specifically. She made sure that as a family we had the best time. We will be back again in the future.
