Comfortable in Cairns

It’s a slightly unusual set up of different towers of apartments and hotel rooms served by a common reception. We had quite a long walk from reception to the elevator to our room. The room was large but quite tired and the bed was very large and comfy. We had a small balcony overlooking Aplin Street and out to the harbour and Coral Sea. There are no restaurant or bars in the hotel and you are directed to The Villa Romana restaurant nearby. We didn’t use the pool but it looked modern and inviting. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

We just enjoyed a weekend in cairns staying here. We checked in Thursday afternoon and we discovered the lights in our room and bsthroom were not working (but lamp and tv were working). We called reception and they resolved the situation by giving us the option to move to another room (upgrade) as an apology for the inconveience. Thank you for promptly rectifying our situation (lovely asst mgr i think her name was citra?). The upgraded room was great - had everything we needed and a massive comfy bed for my mum and I. Staff were so helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Location is handy to everything. Would stay here again.

Mantra Trilogy is our hotel of choice in Cairns. I recently had an unexpected 2.5 week stay after my mother was recovering at Cairns Base Hospital over Christmas and New Year. The team at Trilogy went above and beyond to make sure I was ok From numerous extensions to my reservations with no problem or having to change rooms to the front office team checking on me daily to make sure I was ok. They even organised a lovely present for my mum when she was eventually discharged from hospital. It’s the little things that make a difference to your stay. The hotel is in a great central location in Cairns, walking distance to all the sights in town.

Booked ocean view,but got side on view,receptionist made out she done her best,false.The room had one chair,one bedside lamp,one cupboard with TV on top,nowhere to put prepare or put food,under cupboard a tiny tiny fridge,2 cups,one tea spoon 2 glasses with water jug that did not fit in the fridge,no plates or bowls or knives or fork,no where to put kettle and had to fill kettle in bathroom,we bought the small coffey table in from balcony to put kettle on,Bathroom shower over bath,Climb in and out with bad legs,bottom of bath stained or just worn out,dirty grout on wall and floor tiles.We have stayed in better hotels in 3rd world countries.Pathetic,never again.

Almost no parking at alo

Don't be lied to by this place. The rooms and facilities were really nice. However, don't be lied to about the parking, or lack of. I rang the property ahead of time and mentioned I was driving to Cairns. Yep, told there's parking. I guess that's technically true. When I get here, on then are you told it is "first come, first served". They stuff a flyer in your hand with other paid parking options down the street. Wasnt told that when i rang. You have to double park in the driveway to get your bags out of the car and get hassled by staff to move your car. When you ask what you are supposed to do if there's no parks, "oh, it's free on the street until the morning". Great way to relax. For an entire holiday resort, they don't tell you there's only 38 carparks available. Absolute joke
