Bad evaluation because they give me a room already with a customer inside the room ... And in the actual period this should not happen ! No feeling that I was welcome despite my Diamond level ...... really disappointing. !

Unpleasant stay

We ordered a superior premium room with double bed room and we got room # 408 which is a regular superior room. When we complaint about that, we has been told that the premium rooms are not available. In the room that we reserved was supposed to be equipped with a coffee / tea facility and a coffee machine. In the morning, at 04:00,I went down to the front desk and I asked to have 2 coffees. The lady from the front desk wanted to charge us 6 euros for the coffees!!! I told her that the coffee was supposed to be in the room and I don't understand why she want to charge me. Than she told me that she will me a favor by not charging me for the coffees. Furthermore, the shuttle to the airport was not available and I paid 35 euros for the taxi. I got a downgrade room instead of getting an upgrade room as Accor silver member.

Convenient Location but quite noisy

Rooms are a little dated in comparison to other Hotels in this chain. Food was fine and check out was smooth. Had checked in online however my cc hadn't come through to my booking so had to resubmit it. Has always worked before from the app so didn't know why not here. Biggest issue with this hotel is that you will not sleep due to the proximity with the airport. Although I had requested a quiet room and I was facing the courtyard the DHL planes taking off from 1:30am & 5am will keep you awake. Nothing the Hotel can do about this but as I like my sleep I will not be back here.

Average stay at one of the first Novotels outside of France. good reception, no upgrade received (Gold status) so I ended up in an average room. Shower worked fine, quiet night (2 x double glazing). The bed had a bump in the middle and the overall comfort was even below average (to hard).

1st stay in 3 months

As always the reception staff are friendly and rooms are comfortable and its really good you can open the windows. However, the food has not improved, they still maintain 2 separate tiny menus, one of the bar and one for the restaurant, they both have about 18 starter/main courses of which 4 or 5 are the same plus some deserts. The Bar and Restaurant are 20 meters apart but you can't have the restaurant food in the bar, hence wanting a salad and there being only 1 I had to sit in the restaurant which has all the atmosphere of a morgue. Anyway I ordered the Caesar salad and bottle of water. Some bread rolls arrived without butter and when I asked the waiter seemed to be surprised, butter duly arrived. Then my salad arrived served in a nice looking bowl but its is far too deep, I am 1.82 metre tall but I struggled to eat from the bowl. However that was not the biggest challenge. The salad bowl was warm and the plate it was standing on was hot to the point I could hardly touch it. I called the waiter back and he seemed genuinely surprised this was problem. He wanted to explain it was just radiated heat from the plate, eventually he grudgingly offered to change the bowl. I then made the mistake of wanting so add some salt and pepper, the 2 grinders on my table were empty but so where those on the tables either side of me. I ended up walking around the restaurant looking for Salt and Pepper with the staff just looking on. This hotel has a proper kitchen but just doesn't want to use it. A disappointment and I will go back to staying elsewhere

nice hotel but check the bill

nice hotel. nice room which is very clean. Bath spaceful. Breakfast very good. A big selection. parking in my eyes too expensive but you do not have a chance to find near by a parking space where you pay nothing. when you book via Accor and you use your points than check the bill as in my case they forgot to take away that money. I discover only half day later. However they gave back the money without any discussion.

Ideal park, sleep & fly

Close to the airport and now sharing a larger shuttle bus with the Crown Plaza, the Novotel got even better as a park, sleep & fly option. Also, the parking is now free for 15 days (used to be 7) and therefore attractive during holiday period. I stayed in a renovated ground floor room with bathroom doors opening towards the bedroom. There is a bath and shower, the room is large enough for 2 adults and 2 children (sleepsofa). Great price/quality offering!

I found several lights on in my room when I arrived around 9pm. Your amenities are also wasteful. Other hotels have gel and shampoo dispensers in the shower. The coffee was not complete and one of the nights I stayed there was no water in the fridge. Attention to detail of room items could be better, but really no complaints.

Very friendly personnel, with nice and clean rooms and good beds. Also the Bar is nice/very good to drink. Location is close to the several offices and 1,5 up to 2 km from Zaventem centre, so you can easily walk this. For improvement: Evening diner (quality/taste/..) and parking spot for cars too narrow for each car. As also not logical structured.

One night stopover

Excellent choice to be close to the airport for one night stopover. also you can reach the restaurants / supermarket in the lovely and quiet neighborhood. friendly staff & good breakfast. paying parking is available.

I loved this hotel, the staff were fantastic and friendly, the facilities are great, bedrooms very good, I asked for an iron and ironing board which was brought to our room within 5 minutes even though the staff were very busy. There is a restaurant and a bar, which I am afraid we didn't get the chance to use, however we did get some food from the good choice on offer in the chiller cabinets near reception. We had a good nights sleep, couldn’t have been better :)

Our family of four stayed one night before a long haul flight overseas. Our check in was efficient, but there was no mention of a welcome drink which is normally offered to Accor members. We were invited to use the restaurant and after a long day of travel eating in sounded good. However service at the restaurant was abrupt and indifferent. We waited some time at the entrance to be greeted. When we asked about the menu, it was pushed across the counter at us, and then the attendant left us to serve a gentleman waiting behind us. Not knowing what to do, we sat down at a table and waited. After 10 minutes, no one greeted us, but 3 attendants walked past many times without any acknowledgement. We did see the gentleman who had been waiting behind us was seated and had already been served with a drink. With such inconsistency in the service quality, we left, and went for dinner elsewhere outside the hotel. In the room the minibar seemed incomplete with only one bottle of water for four guests. Otherwise the facilities hotel are quite good, the rooms are quiet despite being so close to the airport. However there is so much potential for a better experience with some work needed on the level of customer service offered. We have had much better service experiences in other Accor hotels. We won't return to this Novotel.

Nice room, pillows to soft

Room had separate toilet from the bathroom and extra door separating "hallway" with access to toilet and bedroom with en-suite bathroom... Breakfast options limited though reasonable, with high-light of fresh orange juice. There were only very soft pillows together with a firm mattress, not an ideal combination.

Regular Business Trip

I stay very regularly and I am always amazed how this hotel manages to achieve such a below standard offering for food in the evenings. Until this week they had a standard but unexceptional food menu which was the same in the bar and restaurant. However they have split the menu into 2 separate menus, one for the bar and one for the restaurant. Each menus has approximately only 11 items although 2 or 3 are duplicated between them but the really special part of their customer service is you can’t order the restaurant menus in the bar which is about 20 metres away, however you can have it for room service. The worst part is this week I paid over €500 for 3 nights b&b, it is a rip off, and far worse than the Novotels nearby such as Mechelen, Leuven or even into Brussels. All of which are cheaper and have far better food The staff are excellent, but again ihotel repeatedly I am left feeling Accor should downgrade this to an Ibis.

Urgent help needed at the bar and restaurant

The restaurant service is terrible. Slow servers, not polite, grumpy, making jokes among themselves, disrespectful. I guess there is no need to tell Accor about it, it is same since a while. Even though the hotel is clean and room typical for Novotel, it is sad to have such a third class services at the restaurant and bar. The good thing is that Crowne Plaza is doing a good job at that about 250 m away. Embarrassing, really.

Gym not working

I've choosed the hotel because of the location (next to the airport, but also becasue it claims to have a Gym... but unfortunatelly it was Out of service during my stay.- next time, before booking I'll call first.-

Lack of interest in solving their clients' problems

I am a Novotel golden card holder and asked the reception to have my trousers ironed which is a standard practice in every Novotel and the answers that I can do that by myself and they would supply me with the iron ( a chinese one , by the way ) . This is a hotel for transit passengers and not for regular clients . I attended the Novotel for 30 years so I know what I am talking about .

Very good location and transfer to Airport, stay one night, leave your car for 8, nice deal. I recommend superior rooms, situated at the gardenside of the hotel. Fine breakfast buffet. No nonsence check in, staff very friendly.

Good business hotel, ideally located for Brussels airport with a trafsrer bus service. Meeting rooms pleasant with good levels of natural light and served by a variety of hot drink vending machines.Welcoming and efficient reception staff.

Novotel at Brussels airport

The rooms are clean but now very shabby with chipped paint on the walls and generally the rooms look very tired. They urgently need a redecoration to bring them back up to the expected level of quality given the high price one pays. The hotel has a free shuttle every 10 mins between the airport and the hotel whihc only takes 3 mins to arrive. Very handy for tired passengers. It is only 15 mins from the airport train station to go to Brussels Midi station and there are over 100 trains a day back and forth.
