We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. It’s definitely the place to go for rest and quiet. No TV’s, not a whole lot of activity we found ourselves a bit bored the 2nd day but I think that’s the whole point is to slow down. The cable cars and walk up the mountain was magic. The entire hotel is like something out of a movie set it’s really beautiful and definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Aiden the team manager was so insanely helpful. He organised us a car to get back to Hanoi that my partner left his wallet in. I sent a message to Aidan and it was returned back to us within 5 minutes. 10/10 experience definitely recommend allowing time for this on your trip. There’s really only 1 restaurant at the hotel, 10/10 staff service everyone is so lovely and helpful. Food starts to get a little bit redundant but they do their best to mix up with the breakfast a bit to keep it interesting. There’s a bar lounge that has great nibbles for a bit of differentiation. Best dish was definitely the spring roll platter, spaghetti alio and buffet breakfast.

This place oozes charisma. From the setting in a historic monastery to the location at the foot of the mystical Yen Tu mountain, everything was in place for a relaxing and memorable escape. I also really liked the bathtub for two on the balcony, the wellness activities (including the spa with its highly impressive signature treatment), and the warmth of the staff. One aspect left me a bit disappointed though - I am a vegan and made this dietary requirement known to the staff before check-in, during check-in, and when ordering most meals. Despite this, buttered bread kept turning up at my table, the "vegan" section of the menu continued to feature dairy, and complimentary canapes containing meat were even served on one occasion!

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff was wonderful. The yoga and Tai Chi instructors were very knowledgeable. The breakfast was excellent. The burgher was terrible because the meat was chewy and raw and tasteless. We had to ask for it to be recooked. I was not happy that the slippers were reused. As a 5 star hotel, the expectation and standards are new slippers and amenities. It is not hygenic to reuse slippers. This is the only reason i rate you 8/10.
