francisgeorge2024 Couples - TripAdvisor review

we checked in and found the room to be damp with the window and wall running with water after complaining we were told that they did have an issue with this room. we were moved to another room but the tv did not work reported this but nothing was done. The hairdryer caught fire whilst my wife was using it when I told reception the staff member thought it highly amusing. Very poor customer care they seem to think that offering a free drink will solve the issue and make the problems disappear.

Spaceship Bathrooms and Sauna Bedrooms – An Ibis Adventure!

joshwilsonuk Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

Stayed at the Ibis in Bristol for my work Christmas party, and let me tell you, it was an experience. First impressions? The room was tidy, functional, and perfectly acceptable… until I saw the bathroom. It looked like something NASA would send to the moon—a compact, round, spaceship-style pod that felt more sci-fi than hotel chic. I half expected a robotic voice to instruct me to “engage hyperdrive” when I turned on the shower. Cool concept, but there’s a catch—the bathroom is raised on a platform that creaks louder than a haunted house floorboard. Every visit was a noisy announcement to my roommate, and the acoustics didn’t hold back. Speaking of the room, it was a twin setup. The beds were decent, and the space was clean, but the air conditioning decided it wasn’t feeling festive. With no cool air, the room turned into a sauna—ideal if you’re prepping for a spa day, not so much for a good night’s sleep. Fortunately, you can open the window wide, which helped get some air circulating. Bonus: the Bristol city sounds provided free background ambiance, including the occasional cheerful yell from someone staggering home. The staff were friendly, the location is great, and Ibis has mastered the art of the quirky. Would I stay again? Sure, but only if they promise to fix the air con or provide a fan—and maybe some WD-40 for the bathroom platform.
