West End Markets

The West End Markets take place each Saturday from 6am until 1pm at Davies Park alongside the Brisbane River, a short way out of Brisbane CBD.

These community markets have plenty of variety with over 150 vendors including fresh produce, ready-to-eat food, as well as handcrafted and locally made goods and gifts.

The West End Markets are the perfect way to kick off your weekend: grab a coffee, pick up something delicious for a picnic lunch, and nab a spot in the shade as you enjoy the live music.

Jan Powers Farmers Market

When it comes to Brisbane Farmers Markets, you can’t miss the chance to visit to Jan Powers Farmers Market. Established in 2000 by Jan Power who was passionate about supporting farmers and connecting Brisbane shoppers with locally-produced food, these are the Brisbane markets for farmers and foodies.

The Jan Powers Farmers Markets now operate across multiple sites, but the original location is Powerhouse Farmers Market. You’ll find Powerhouse Farmers Market at Newfarm every Saturday from 6am until noon.

There’s plenty of coffee and food trucks to keep you satisfied during your visit to the markets, and even more to take with when you go, from farm-fresh fruit and vegetables to locally-made bread and cheese.

Riverside at the Gardens Market

The Riverside at the Gardens Market takes place every Sunday from 8am until 3pm at the Botanic Gardens in the heart of Brisbane CBD. These long-running markets have been popular with locals for more than 30 years.

Vendors at the Riverside Markets include ready-to-eat foods as well as jewellery, handcrafted soaps, local honey, and plenty more. There’s also a rotating program of live entertainment. The Riverside Markets are a great way to start your Sunday with a cuppa and a stroll around the stalls and along the Brisbane River.

Northey Street Organic Farmers Market

The Northey Street Organic Farmers Market is Brisbane’s only organic farmers market. At these Brisbane Markets you’ll find certified organic local foods including fruit and vegetables, breads and pastries, chocolate, coffee, cheese, milk, eggs, and more.

While the focus at the Northey Street Organic Farmers Market is on organic food, you’ll also find some local makers selling ethically produced goods including fashion and homewares. The Northey Street Organic Farmers Market is held every Sunday from 6am until 11am.

Queensland Vegan Markets

Brisbane Mid-Week Markets

Brisbane’s markets aren’t a weekend-only affair! You can visit the Brisbane City Markets every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday right in the centre of town.

Brisbane City Markets

The Brisbane City Markets take places every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday across three locations. These markets bring the freshest seasonal produce and gourmet foods from the farms of south-east Queensland direct to Brisbane CBD. The focus at the Brisbane City Markets is squarely on fresh, local food.

Every Tuesday from 8am until 2pm you’ll find the Brisbane City Markets at St Stephen’s Cathedral on Elizabeth Street.

On Wednesdays between 8am and 6pm, the Brisbane City Market takes place at Reddacliff Place, at the top of Queens Street Mall. This location was the original Brisbane City Market and remains a popular choice for locals and visitors to Brisbane.

And on Thursdays the Brisbane City Market is held at Cathedral Square from 8am until 2pm.

Given the central location of the three Brisbane City Market sites, the best way to get to these markets is to take public transport or walk from your Brisbane hotel.

Brisbane’s Night Markets

Eat Street Northshore

Eat Street Northshore takes place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening from 4pm. This Brisbane night market is housed in 180 repurposed shipping containers. With live entertainment and over 70 traders serving up food from around the world, you’ll have plenty to enjoy at Eat Street Northshore.

Eat Street Northshore is located about 15 minutes out of central Brisbane and a short distance from the Northshore Hamilton Ferry Terminal. Eat Street Northshore does charge a small entry fee, find out more and plan your visit.

BrisStyle Twilight Markets

The BrisStyle Twilight Markets is another of Brisbane’s night markets. These markets are held each month and you can find out the next market date on the BrisStyle Twilight Markets website.

The BrisStyle Twilight Markets is dedicated to supporting local makers, designers, and artists. This Brisbane market is the perfect one to visit when you’re looking for something truly unique, making it an ideal place to shop for gifts.

The Collective Markets

The Collective Markets is held every Friday evening (5pm – 9pm), Saturday (10am – 9pm), and Sunday (9am – 4pm) giving you plenty of opportunity to experience it for yourself.

These markets have a variety of stalls for you to browse including local designers, vintage clothing, handcrafted candles, and local art. You’ll also find plenty of food and drink to enjoy as you browse the markets and live entertainment too.

You’ll find The Collective Markets at South Bank in central Brisbane.
