This is an embarrassment to the Accor and Ibis brands. There was nothing positive to stay. I would close down and refurbish before opening back up.

Regarding the ambiance in the hallways, I want to explain that the lighting is designed to be energy-efficient, part of Accor's commitment to sustainability. The corridors feature automatic lighting to save energy, which activates as needed. However, I understand this can sometimes create a perception of darkness, and we will review this system to ensure it balances energy efficiency with guest comfort and safety more effectively. The condition of the room you described is concerning. We aim to provide a welcoming, clean, and comfortable environment for all our guests, and it appears we fell far short in your case. Although we were a bit apprehensive about going back after the previous use of the Hotel , we were pleased to be greeted like long lost family by Carol and her colleagues. Noticed new carpet in bedroom and the re vamped bar / dining area looks good. We felt like we had never been away!

One night stay. Comfortable. Good breakfast. Room was quite cold and affected by loud road works outside until late night.
