This time a dissapointment in an otherwise fine hotel

I have been in this hotel many times over the last 5 years. Always a quite satisfied stay in a decent spacious and clean room. This time my stay was not so pleasant. The room I got was very small. (Room 107) I could hardly walk around the bed. Fortunately i was alone, for with two persons this would have been quite troublesome. It would have been impossible to pass eachother. The bed i got was not flat. The mattress had bumbs. The room was also very noisy. I understand the hotel was almost fully booked. Maybe the reason I heard footsteps all night long. The light in the bathroom was not working properly. The window could not open more than a few centimeters for it was restrickted by a chain. So it wasn't possible to get enough fresh air. The breakfast was, as always, quite satisfying. Again, this is a first rather bad experience in an otherwise fine and clean hotel.

the room was clean, bathroom however quite cramped, and the shower door leaking. The room was very hot, but nor airco working "because of the time of the year". So open window, but just beside the motor road (A75) not a good idea in the night. Breakfast with excellent coffee and orange juice, those items that should be ot however were not. Reception desk excellent and very helpful

Have stayed here many times before. It's a great overnight stopover. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Bedrooms are getting a bit tired and could do with an upgrade.
