I think previous reviews are very harsh. I enjoyed my stay very much at the Novotel Hivernage. I was there staying for a conference - it was ideally located and I found the staff very friendly, warm and helpful. The room was large and fine for my needs and the pool area when I got to it on my last fay was delightful. I was staying solo and so it was lovely to be spoken to and made welcome rather than ignored. Yes the decor may be a bit tired but this is the company’s issue to deal with and not the staff’s fault at all. Thank you for everything.

Good location, Nice rooms, good pool towel service. But Wifi who didn’t work for half of our stay. In the breakfast room birds are sitting on and eating from the bread which is not very hygienic.

Nice large room with a view to the pool area. Too bad for the price of the room that the hotel only provides two Nescafe capsules for your full stay, instead of replenishing per day (clearly stated on a card). At breakfast, it should be more clearly communicated that one could have omelette etc. prepared at a booth in the garden - I only found out when having finished my breakfast. Nice neighbourhood. Good pool area.

The good: very nice staff and great location near some fantastic restaurants. Pool area was fantastic. Also, the breakfast was very good and had nice options. The bad: The layout of our hotel room was probably the dumbest I have ever seen in my life. The room itself was not small, but for some reason, the toilet room was smaller than an airplane bathroom. I'm slightly above average in height and I could not comfortably sit in the bathroom. I don't get why the room would be designed like this. In fact, I started to use the lobby bathroom. In addition, the hotel is extremely outdated and things are falling apart. The tile in our room was cracking, the buttons on the elevator were coming off, the carpets looked 20 years old, and so many other issues. Overall, I think the hotel needs a major renovation.

Prior to arriving in Marrakesh, just before taking my plane, I received an official Email from ACCOR saying "We have taken note of your cancellation request". I hadn't cancel any reservation so I decided to go anyway. Lucky I made the reservation through the Accor App, because it was the Novotel that canceled my reservation supposedly because "I didn't pay"... For sure, after complaining and clearly stating that they never send me an email saying that I needed to pay before arriving at the hotel, showing that I didn't cancel but they did, even if they have my email, my phone...ect and that at least they could contact the client instead of just canceling... I had a room that was "taken from somebody else"... Way to go ! Way to go ! My friend wasn't lucky and had to book on the spot another hotel as he used another system than the App. So, unless this hotel become a bit more "customer oriented", I will not recommend it. O yes, it took 3 hours from the moment we arrived to getting the room key (except my friend that had to find another place)... Terrible experience.
