Jacdb Families - TripAdvisor review

Food was overpriced and very poor taste and quality. Getting them to seat you in the restaurant was a task, they had to ask the kitchen first and this was at 7pm with only half a dozen people sat eating! The staff all seem to be new and have no idea what they are doing, we witnessed very poor customer service, a waiter who didn’t speak any English and one who dropped their drink on them. Now to say they have parking is a joke. They charge £15 a day and the spaces are soooo tight no-one can open their car doors without hitting the car next to them, it’s tantamount to daylight robbery. The rooms are ok, it’s just a shame you can’t find any info on the website about what you get in your room??? You do get an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, soaps and shampoos, tea and coffee making items and 2 cans of water. We will stick to the palace in future 2 doors away and avoid this like the plague in future.

Had two night stay here and was very pleased with all aspects of this new hotel.Check in was quick and easy. My room was spacious as was the ensuite. The cleanliness was top draw and everything worked. The bed was really comfy and I heard no noise from anything when in my room.Nice large smart TV too ! Would certainly stay again and will look out other hotels in the group.

Visited Paignton for Armed forces day March (on a Sunday). Decided to have a drink in this smart looking hotel over looking the green on the sea front. Warm and sunny day so decided we would sit out side. A polite friendly elderly gentleman greeted us who was washing down the main walkway into the hotel. Once inside we went to the main entrance bar to order a coffee and a coke. Straight away told, wait a minute! However, there appeared nobody around? This lady appeared stressed and not happy in her job. She eventually returned and took the order and told us she bring it over. 25 mins later still no drinks, on asking she informed us she forgot. Great looking hotel but let down by this member of staff who was on the main reception. Maybe the gentleman cleaning the front should be in charge of reception as he was polite and welcoming!

A very comfortable hotel, great location on the seafront within walking distance of the harbour and the town centre. The staff were friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. Room was spacious and the bed comfortable giving a good night’s sleep.

An absolutely gorgeous hotel. Excellent location. Wonderful staff. Yummy food. We paid an additional cost for a sea view - which was perfect. We took my elderly mum who uses a wheelchair. The entire hotel, including bedrooms, were absolutely superb for her.
