We had one night at Mövenpick as we used it for a stop before heading to the airport early the next morning. We loved the decor and vibe. Cocktail bar and restaurant was great. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant and our waiter was Arteman???? I think!!!! (he was young) He helpful and attentive as well as working solo. We lived our stay and would highly recommend. Great value, location and design.

We arrived at the hotel at 11:40 PM but were not able to check in until 12:15 AM. While the lone receptionist was doing what he could, he had absolutely no support. This understaffing is a blatant failure on the part of hotel management. To make matters worse, a guest ahead of us was complaining about a dysfunctional electric car charger in the parking lot. The receptionist was completely unaware it was even broken—another managerial failure, as staff should be informed and maintenance should have fixed it. The other guests ahead of us didn't complain directly, but it was clear they were annoyed by the long check-in process. I find it truly astonishing how long it took to check them in, especially considering they were all traveling together as a single group. When I finally reached the desk, the receptionist apologized for the delay. I pointed out that the reception should have a clearly visible priority welcome sign for Accor members, which he acknowledged. We were assigned room 603, which turned out to be smaller than expected. The room was in poor condition, with clearly visible damage, stains, scratches, and dust mixed with hair scattered across the floor and in the corners. While the bed mattress was decent, the hotel only provided one type of low-quality pillow. The walk-in rain shower and bathroom layout were fine in terms of design and size, but the visible damage, stains, and hair on the floor completely ruined the impression. As for amenities, the tea and coffee set was standard, containing packaged tea, three Julius Meinl capsules, sugar, and creamer. However, the minibar was entirely empty yet incredibly noisy. It was a total nuisance, wasting space while buzzing frequently. On a minor note, the Wi-Fi, TV, and YouTube worked well. Downstairs, the lobby bar looked stylish, and the bartenders were friendly and spoke good English. However, we refused to have breakfast at the hotel, as we were unwilling to spend a single cent more in this establishment. This stay was definitely not worth the €103.35 we paid. To top it off, when I checked out, a different receptionist didn't even bother to ask how our stay was. Management desperately needs to better maintain the rooms, seriously improve housekeeping, and support the night shift with additional staff. After this experience, we will probably not stay here again. While we can highly recommend both Novotel and Pullman properties from our past positive experiences, this particular hotel was nothing but a waste of our time and money.
