We had a lovely stay at Mercure Hida. The room was very cozy and clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We really appreciated the baby cot they provided for our little one. Breakfast was great with good variety. We miss the place already and would love to go back to Takayama and stay here again. Highly recommended for small families.

They were able to accommodate me so that I could stay in the same room for three days in a twin room because I was connected to a group tour on the third day and therefore I didn’t have to change my accommodations. Also, I had asked for a view towards the back mountain side and they were very kind to oblige me.

Well located, walking distance to old town, train station and bus terminal, very elegant and warm design, many choices at breakfast buffet, and the best are the spacious rooms, loved the big bed and the shower...highly recommended for families

Regarding your reservation, you booked a room for one person, in a room with a capacity of 4 persons. Upon your check-in, you were accompanying by a second person, and we informed you the room rate is different for one or two persons, therefor we will ask an additional fee for the extra person, unfortunately you declined to proceed of the payment. Upon your check-out, we try to explain you our policy again without any success. We appreciate you sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that your next visit will be more pleasant.
