one night at this hotel cost us AUD $588 so I was expecting a better standard of hotel than what is was. I would not call it boutique at all and the customer service was not satisfactory. As a Accor Platinum member I was unable to check in early or check out late. The room itself was good. But I heard someone else at reception complain that their bathroom was not clean. The location was good close to Yaletown.

My son and I stayed to watch a few World Cup games in Vancouver and loved how we were in the middle of the action at The Belmont. We were impressed at how stylish and comfortable our room was. The beds were very comfortable, the towels were fluffy and pristine. The double window system made it so quiet even though a party was going on outside. Would stay again!

The staff was not very professional. After visiting family all day, we came back to go to bed. My husband has severe anxiety with sleep and cannot sleep without a fan. We asked for one from the front desk and were told that they did have fans, but we would have had to request it from housekeeping who had gone home. We asked if there was any way to still get one for the reason I mentioned above and were told they couldn’t give us one because “no one has a key to the housekeeping closet”. I don’t feel that this is accurate. If so, what does the hotel do if someone needs another pillow in the middle of the night? Or if a kid has an accident and needs new sheets? To me, it just felt like an excuse to not give us a fan and so I am not happy with our stay. Next time we go to San Diego we will likely stay in another hotel.
