The staff at this hotel have always been great, very friendly and helpful front desk. The location of the hotel is great for downtown access and access to transit both the buses as well as a short walk to a skytrain stations, lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. One thing to keep in mind is the hotel is in an older historic building so soundproofing isn't as good as you would find in more modern hotels, but ear plugs can help with this, I never find street noise to be an issue but I do find that the noise inside the building does travel from other rooms and the hallway, but this is to be expected when staying in a historic older building. The rooms have always been clean and well maintained, the shower is nice and they have some of the nicest smelling body wash and shampoo of any hotel I have been at the mint scent is the best. As the hotel is downtown on the main entertainment street it can get busy especially on weekends.

All staff were amazing and friendly and welcoming! Our room was very clean, beds super comfy. The area was a bit sketchy, but it's a very busy area, so we felt quite safe, even walking back to our hotel from the concert venue, about a block away. The hotel has security and the doors are locked in the evenings. The welcome treats were a very pleasant surprise! We were also very surprised when they told us our room was ready and we could check in before noon, rather than just storing our luggage until 3. Also, the day we departed, we were able to store our luggage in a locked area, while we explored the city until it was time to head to the airport. Would definitely recommend and stay here again, if ever in the area!
