My trip to Vancouver dint start as planned. I had a booking at another hotel and upon arrival they claimed the booking company canceled the booking due to bankruptcy. There was no notification to myself and we were scrambling to find a place to stay. The staff at Belmont really went above and beyond to save my birthday trip. We were able to check in early, received a great little welcome gift and the hotel graciously checks on you during your stay. Everyone at the front desk and concierge were very professional and friendly. I will for sure be recommending this hotel to everyone and will be returning for another stay.

My first night in it was very loud mainly due to the room next to me, it took 2 hours for the room to become quite. The location is good close to the train but there will be a few homeless people. At the end of my stay there was a service fee charge but they didn't tell me what the charge was for, they just told me there was a fee and how come this wasn't included in the price to begin with?! Overall, it was a good stay other then a few areas but I'm not sure if I would stay again based on the location.

We were able to check in ahead of time online which made the process very quick and easy. We were greeted with complimentary pins and soft drinks, before heading up to our room. Everything went very smoothly, the beds were comfortable and we were able to airplay a movie to the TV. The location was really convenient and all the staff were very friendly. 10/10 experience at a great value booking through Expedia!

Locating - on a dingy corner of a dingy block. Lacks monitored 20 minute unloading & check-in. Entering: Step-up to enter secured doors. When staff activate automatic door-opener, double doors swing open and force the guest to step back or down. Inside: Walk up a flight of steps. No signage, guidance or direction about where to wait to check-in. I watched as a discombobulated couple unsuccessfully attempted to produce evidence of their reservation. Eventually, an extremely kind, patient and friendly front desk agent asked them to step aside so he could help me. They barely moved & loomed over my shoulder as I attempted to register. The desk agent understood and did an excellent job protecting my privacy. He gave me one small bottle of water. First impression: Needs re-design, renovation & refurbishment. Dingy neighborhood and hotel! Parking: open lot, with broken glass, adjacent or indoor a couple blocks away. Not joyful. . Room: Unwelcoming. Small. Cramped. Crappy furniture. Furniture is soulless & looks like it was bought at a 2005 Residence Inn auction. No refrigerator. Bright light enters the bathroom through a large uncovered window. The bathroom door is glass and early morning light enters the room, awaking guests earlier than they intended. Bed: Lumpy foam pillows. My experience: No cheer in the facilities. Front desk staff are the best part of the experience and should be further empowered. Bottom line: This is NOT a four star hotel. I have stayed in nicer three star hotels.
