As a Accor Plus member stopping here I was Discusted that for a public holiday turn up at 9.30 for breakfast and the place was full and more people turning up .To find absolutely no food .Coffee machine had ran out of milk ,Pancake machine bag was empty .And a girl about 8- 9 using her hands in the cereal container to get cereal out as there was no scoops as they were already taken .All these people paying $26 for toast basically as that was all there was .When I asked the poor staff where was the food they Said Manager Olyvia said breakfast was to finish at 10 and cooking to finish at 8.30.Why weren't people told when booking?I felt completely Discusted and embarrassed for the staff that they were put in such a position. This motel is going down hill .

Great location but needs some TLC

Great location for our recent return to Sydney but in need of some revamping . We have stayed here when it was run by travel lodge but found that experience to be far more personal. We arrived late ( 1030pm) and no staff member was present to greet us immediately and so we had no choice but to check in digitally and this gave us no option to pay cash . The bed was comfortable but there were no available spare pillows or blankets in the room . They have launched an eco friendly approach and the coffee and tea cups ( made of recycled coffee bean husks) may appear to be a giant leap forward for the planet but not user friendly for guests as we were encouraged to take these cups from our room for breakfast ( the cups available at the buffet breakfast were just too small,) With all these Evo friendly measures I would expect pricing for accommodation to be more reasonable . It was definitely not 4 star establishment as advertised ! Unrepaired lighting in guest hallways ,a lack of staff available to clear tables promptly at breakfast , a lack of available crockery at busy breakfast times and no-one wiping spills from the Bain Marie was not a good look! After enduring covid for 2 years I expected a more dutiful response to appropriate procedures on this buffet presentation. Floating serving spoons in troughs of fruit that have been handled by many guests is just not good enough! Our stay here served the purpose of our visit but I expected more for the price charged !

Might be a new name but…

Only positives - free parking and self check-in. Arrived late, a few people in line waiting to be served. 1 guy at reception, 1 guy in the back doing nothing but on the computer. So we noticed self check-in and checked ourselves in, much quicker. Lift is slow, small and definitely needs to be replaced as it jerks a lot. Room was on the second floor room 229 - this was an executive queen room, paid roughly $10 more. Bed was comfy, decor was ok. But the bathroom was dirty, grimy and needed a good deep clean or a whole new bathroom renovation. Dirt on the walls in the bathroom, shower head was spraying out water from the top. Toilet is far too low. Last time I stayed here it was a Travelodge and I had a better experience then, than I had when I stayed. Book elsewhere, don’t waste your time, money or energy on the hotel.

A pleasant surprise

Booked this last minute to take advantage of two bonus points offers, but I was a bit hesitant having read the existing reviews. Location was great for all the things I needed to visit nearby, and hotel was easy to find just off the freeway. Missed the driveway initially, but luckily there's another entrance just behind the McDonalds at the roundabout. Plenty of free, unsecured parking. There are street lamps to park under if you want. Automated check-in (and -out) machine was fine. Deserted lobby and only one staff member visible. There are two wings, be aware that the only set of stairs is in one wing and the only guest lift is in the other. Even if you get frustrated waiting for the lift (to come down) avoid taking the nearby fire stairs. Some of the stairwell doors indicate that they are alarmed, and some do do not. If you get stuck in the stairwell, you'll need to phone reception. The lack of staff might mean that it takes a few calls before one is answered. Booked an executive queen room, on level 2. No complaints, clean, spacious and quiet (facing away from the car park and McDs). There was a safe, and also a coffee machine. Bathroom was modern and the shower spacious. The opening window to let in fresh air was a bonus. I'm surprised that hotels that have this don't highlight it on their websites. The air-con control took a bit of figuring out to see whether it was on or off. The kitchenette was handy. Is it for environmental reasons that many hotels no longer have plastic bags in the rubbish bins? I wonder whether it makes it harder for staff to clean them if there is no bag. For in-room dining, there are daily specials and when I stayed there was a discount on some items too. There are plenty of dining options just a close drive away. Overall, a good stay and the generous bonus Accor points were the cherry on top.

Should be zero stars

There really should be a zero rating as I feel that 1 star is way too many for this establishment. 2 night stay which was booked by my company through a third party provider. I had an email confirmation with a number for a paid stay and had to prove that I was the person in the booking as my last name hadn’t been used. Very tired and if it has been renovated in the last 10 years, it was certainly a waste of money. Room hadn’t been cleaned prior to my stay as evidenced by the tissues on the floor under the bed. Room serviced on second day and still there. Coffee, sugar and milk not replenished and cup just rinsed and placed on sink. Unfortunately for me there is a very good chance that they will book the same place for my next visit to the Sydney office.
