Great price so our expectations were low. The staff were great and super helpful. The beds were comfortable and the shower pressure was good. We had a few issues 1. Air con hard To operate and ultimately ours did not heat, we were freezing ( staff bought us fan heaters to compensate) 2. Air freshener type smell in the rooms which was very strong. 3. Breakfast was slim pickings by 9.15, hardly any of the tinned fruit left ( and only fruit was pineapple), mushrooms almost gone.. etc and nothing was being refilled as breakfast finished at 9.30am. I am sorry to hear regarding the A/C not working within the rooms. The staff are always on hand to assist to show you these controls and fix should it be required but I am glad heaters were provided to ensure a comfortable rest. I do apologise for the lack of food on the buffet towards the end of breakfast as well. I will chat with the chefs to ensure we are having this fully stocked right up until 9:30 as this is the advertised time of operations, disappointing to hear this was the case for you. I am glad to hear you liked the cafe counter food, this is a new addition for the hotel so it is positive to hear you enjoyed it. I've stayed here twice: Once in January with two kids, and once alone in June. Aside from the suburb of Manly, or hotels that are attached to pubs, this is the only hotel in the Northern Beaches that isn't an AirBnB, so it feels like our only option. The positives: Service was great. The breakfast is good. Room service is quick and reasonably priced (though the beef lasagne had hardly any beef, and the pizzas had far too much cheese). The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The air conditioning worked well after I figured out how to turn it on: The wall panel will allow you to adjust the temperature even when the air conditioner is switched off, without showing an obvious sign that it's off, so I assumed it was broken! The kitchenette includes a mini fridge, a kettle with tea and coffee, a microwave and some dinnerware, although strangely we saw a sign that said we were not allowed to bring food in from outside. We brought food in from outside anyway, and the staff didn't say anything. The staff also let us take the bathroom towels to the beach (we checked that this was allowed!), which is generous because some hotels won't allow this. The location is good, not very picturesque for walks nearby, but convenient to buses. The room is good value once you've stayed a couple of times, because Accor membership provides good discounts. Parking is $10 per day for Accor members, and it's not hard to find a place to park close to the entrance (except on days when the Sea Eagles are playing nearby, when the car park and hotel are much more crowded). The negatives: The bathrooms are dated and the grout is full of mold! The shower taps turn on in opposite directions, so my kids had trouble setting the temperature. The booking system on the Mercure website is odd: I booked bed and breakfast, but it never showed up as such in my email confirmation or when I opened my booking, so I had to hope that they'd recorded it correctly. On my first trip, I had booked and paid for breakfast for a triple room with three occupants, but they told me that the rate only included breakfast for one person! This would have been very misleading if true. Fortunately they figured out that all breakfasts were included. The Chromecast to the TV worked well with my phone, but half an hour after switching the TV off, it switched itself back on again at full volume, waking me up in the process! I unpluged the TV the next night as I couldn't figure out why it did this - perhaps there's a way to disconnect from the Chromecast.

Once a humble Travelodge, the Mercure Manly Warringah has had a great upgrade and in the hands of proactive and personable manager, Scott Bear, this hotel is a now fantastic option for visitors who are staying in the area for business, sporting or leisure reasons. A small cafe serving snacks and coffee means that guess no longer need to rely on the nearby Manly Leagues club for meal options and the afternoon happy hour offers decent wine and beer in a nice atmosphere. Breakfast is served buffet style and Accor Plus members are recognised nicely with added personal touches and discounts. Rooms are functional and comfortable, and the staff are obliging, smiling and always willing to help. Although the Mercure Manly Warringah is not near the beach, it provides well for guests who may need to stay in the area for business or medical appointments related to the nearby Northern Beaches Hospital. For visitors going to rugby league games at Brookvale Oval, the hotel offers special deals and an easy walk to the ground. Secure parking is available for $20 per night Another nice touch, is the hotel's active support for local charities. We will happily stay again and look forward to seeing the results of the soon to be completed renovation of the property's bathrooms

Only change noticed since it was rebadged from a Travelodge is some very small cosmetic changes to foyer. While the staff are great, rooms have stains on tiles and generally need updating. Would only recommend staying there when Manly are playing at Brooky at is location is close to that and the club and pub.

Currently we are creating a scheduled piece for the team to focus on the removal of stains within the bathrooms and ensure they are up to scratch. Convenient location, clean and well appointed rooms. We had three rooms over three days for the State Surf Championships and found the beds comfortable, rooms quiet and showers hot with good pressure. Not overpriced but felt a $20 per night parking fee was s bit over the top. We will definitely stay again next year. Breakfast available from 6-30am and Manly Leagues a 50 mt walk. We would have given 5 stars, but no pool … but still very good .
