Stayed for 3 nights. Hotel is centrally located, a short walk to the surrounding shops. Room was comfortable and spacious.

A week on the Isle

Staff were all very helpful and accommodating with any requests. As in, I prefer a soft pillow, I asked the question and by later that day, I had a lovely soft pillow waiting in my room. Wait staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the venue smelt nice in the foyer. My only 'issue', but it was a BIG one was that in the restaurant, there was a stocked bottle of red wine called Broad Arrow. Given the context to Port Arthur and the 35 people murdered and countless other's injured and psychologically harmed, I simply cannot believe that anyone would name a wine Broad Arrow, but even worse, I cannot believe any restaurant would then choose to stock a wine with that name. I found that in incredibly poor taste, as I believe, one day, someone could stay at this hotel, see THAT bottle, then be devastated by seeing it, as it leads them to feel re-traumatised. Other than that, our experience was excellent.
