Hotel is located centrally and you can walk pretty much everywhere. I do love staying here. That said probably not my best stay this particular visit. There is no water in the room. I found it odd that the mini bar does not stock water. There is a sign saying to use the tap water or go to the gym on level 2 to fill your water. Considering i arrived at close to 10pm and did not have a water bottle going down to the gym did not suit me and I had to keep filling my glass up with tap water. It would have been nice to have cold water available. Just a suggestion to have more than alcohol available in the mini bar. I reported that my room had a plumbing issue on the Monday morning. Monday night I got back to my room and there was no mention in the room this had been fixed. Went down to front desk and they could not give me an update on what happened as they didn't know if the clanging noise was from the taps or the toilet. The front desk person could not understand my frustration when I tried to explain how their maintenance person could not have the smarts to turn the tap on or flush the toilet. It did not seem that difficult to me to try both of them. Back and forth we went me trying to explain the situation to the front desk and getting nowhere. Then in my opinion as an afterthought I was offered to change rooms which I declined. I was given a bottle of sparkling wine the next day as an apology for the confusion. The restaurant seemed extremely short staffed. We booked for 5 then changed to 6 for the Tuesday night the food took a long time. They brought out bread and a round of drinks for the delay. Breakfast the next morning again a delay I had to chase up where the food was. they also tried to charge us for the food yet breakfast was included in our rooms. My room on the 2nd day of my stay the extra blanket that i requested was just dumped in the middle of the bed. The 3rd day it was folded neatly on the bed. I have stayed here multiple times and never had issues like this I believe it may have just been a one off, it would deter me from staying and will give another chance when I stay next month and then decide after that visit if I need to find another hotel.

Bad parking service

The parking service was very bad, they charged me for a valet parking but since the vehicle was longer than usual I had to park it on the street behind the hotel. I didn't understand why they charged me the 35 dollars for a service that didn't exist. In addition, it doesn't include breakfast, I didn't like it either

We’re happy about the customer service we experienced from the reception staff, very accommodating, also at the restaurant, staff are very professional, very good customer service and very nice and tasty food. The hotel is very clean and the restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay and we will choose to stay here again next time we come back to Hobart.
