It was a quick one-night stay, a quick in and out. ibis budget Singapore Selegie was the perfect solution. A 5 minute walk from the nearest MRT station (Rocher is closest although a little hard to find with the construction going on), it's easy to find. The front desk staff were courteous and helpful. It's budget, so no frills. My room was clean, bright, and quiet. My bed was comfortable, the air conditioning unobtrusive. It even included a breakfast buffet with all the basics: baked beans, eggs, fruit, juice etc. I'd stay there again.

Avoid this hotel. We traveled to Singapore, two adults and one child. We booked IBIS Budget Selegie from 31.10.2022 to 04.11.2022. I booked family room for 2 adults and 1 child. Family room has one double bed and a single bed. The room tariff for a single room and family room is different and I paid more amount for family room. SGD 784 = Rs. 45,500 approx. So it comes to Rs. 11,375 per night, which is not cheap at all. Firstly I booked online on their official website, where it was clearly mentioned as ‘payment at the hotel’ and It was guaranteed by my credit card. I called beforehand to hotel to enquire, whether cash or card will be accepted as ‘payment at the hotel’. It was conveyed to me that SGD in cash or prepaid card accepted. Accordingly I carried SGD card and cash as well, because I wanted to pay at the hotel as per booking terms and I didn’t wanted to bill it to my credit card. My credit card is an Indian INR denominated credit card which charges 3% tax on foreign currency transaction and applies an unfavorable currency exchange rate. Following things happened at the hotel. 1. When we came for check in, they said hotel is overbooked and family room was not available. 2. To my surprise the payment was already charged to my credit card. 3. If the booked room was not available, why it was billed to my credit card. It denied me an opportunity to go to another hotel. 4. As per booking terms, in case of no show, they were to bill one day charges anyway, so why the room was not kept reserved ? 5. It was mentioned in the booking as ‘pay at the hotel’ I was carrying amount accordingly, still it was charged to my credit card, now I have to pay excess amount equivalent to SGD 50 to my credit card company as taxes and others charges. Citi Bank charged Rs. 47,500 instead of Rs.45,500 eq. to SGD 784 I carried (in card and cash). 6. Though I was given offer of taking two single rooms, out of which the access of one room was given as early check in, it was not required. We haven't used another room. 7. Breakfast was included, however the breakfast was non – existent. As an Indian and vegetarian we were not given a single option in breakfast menu, other than salad and fruit. (watermelon on both occasions we went, other coupons, we returned) the cake pieces was over on both occasions that we went in. When pointed out, they refused to refill too. Most items were non-vegetarian. So overall it was a disappointing experience, at IBIS Budget Selegie. Only positive thing to note courteous staff “Yogini/Yugini” and her colleague, though nothing was in their hands. Neither to give booked room, nor to give proper breakfast. Unprofessionalism is 1. Booked family room at higher rates, was refused for two days out of five days. 2. Payment mechanism is used, as per their convenience & not as per, booking terms. 3. Breakfast was not at all “inclusive” for the guests and was mostly over on two days, when we visited (within time). We returned the unused coupons to reception. 4. When I emailed them the experience, claiming refund for the difference in room booked and room given. They chose not to reply. Not even an apology, for what we went through. I will never visit any IBIS hotel, henceforth. So unprofessional. The area is good for Indians. We are vegetarians. We got many options in nearby Little India area. Two MRT (subway) railway station are within walking distance, Little India MRT and Rochar MRT. There is a bus stop right in front of this hotel, however the buses don't go to major attractions, which are in south. MRT is super convenient.

Very friendly and helpfull staff. We came early due to our early flight. We could use the swimmingpool and our luggage was properly stored. Our room was ready at 1pm. Alth`ough not very big, it was clean, good bed and a great shower. Staff was friendly and helpfull giving tips and also arranging a packed breakfast and a taxi the next morning to the arirport.

Stayed in Superior Double Room for 4 nights. I really enjoyed staying here. Hotel is located in selegie, beside Selegie Central bus stop. near to Little India. Little India MRT and To Rocher MRT are within walking distance. . So transportation from here is super easy. The 7/11 shop is situated in the same building. Walkable distance to Tekka Center Hawker center. Lots of Indian restaurants nearby. Breakfast from the hotel is really nice. You got Vocher from the hotel and breakfast is provided in a restaurant that is located in the same building. Good and friendly staff. They help to book cabs and taxis. They did room service everyday. You will get unlimited bottle water from hotel. Heater and Air con is working fine. They are providing basic amenities. The room is small but we don't have a problem with that. Because we stayed in the hotel only for sleeping. Most of space occupied by double coat bed. But I think most hotel rooms in Singapore will be like this. You have hangers but don't have any cupboard to keep clothes. We keep the trolley bag in a stand provided by them. Only final day after check-out we keep our luagges near reception and go to River Wonder. So we don't need to pay half day rent because our flight was at night. Only problem we felt was they don't have bidet in toilet. So we need to use tissues. For us it is difficult. But we are used to it after 2 days. And don't have Bucket or Cup in bathroom. We need that to bath our child. We used water bottles to overcome that. One more thing is they don't have any locker in the room. Thanks Ibis for a wonderful stay.

Front desk staff is totally unprofessional they don’t have manners to talk to a customer, they are very arrogant and rude, they provide checkins to short stay and deny check in to overnight stay, just because they sell same room twice. They give you different excuses but the truth is they won’t allow you check in even if all the rooms are empty as they want to sell them for short stays before they allot room to you. Almost 100 people checked out from hotel in front of me and they still didn’t bothered to provide a room give different excuses all the time. I would not recommend this hotel at all. Even if you get this for free.
