Positive Points: - Great CBD location in Perth - Diamond status earned a room upgrade without even asking - In-room Nespresso machine - Excellent service from Jacqueline at reception - Novotel in good overall condition Areas Needing Improvement: 1. Valet Service Disappointing encounter with reluctant concierge/valet on Sunday evening. Manager had to step in to unload car. Unacceptable service lapse. 2. Room Privacy Shocked when staff entered room without knocking. Serious breach of privacy. Hotel must reinforce guest privacy protocols. 3. Housekeeping Standards Subpar cleanliness and attention to detail. Poorly made bed, no coffee refill, no vacuuming. Unacceptable lapses reflecting poorly on hotel standards. 4. Restaurant Availability Inconvenient restaurant closure on Sunday and Monday. Disappointing for guests expecting full service. 5. Water Provision Complimentary bottled water preferred over tap water recommendation. Glass bottles suggested as eco-friendly alternative. 6. Staff Training and Motivation Many employees lack proper hospitality training, experience, and motivation. Comprehensive training and fostering service excellence crucial. 7. Communication and Transparency No response to request for General Manager's name. Concerning lack of transparency and fear of guest feedback. In summary, while the Novotel Perth has some positives, the numerous service deficiencies experienced are unacceptable. Swift action is needed to address shortcomings in valet service, housekeeping, restaurant availability, staff training, and communication. The hotel must prioritise guest satisfaction and demonstrate a genuine commitment to improvement to regain trust and loyalty. Failure to do so risks further dissatisfaction and reputational damage.

Great hotel perfectly situated in central Perth and easy walking distance to train station. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Pool area small with limited seating and shaded but nice enough and pool towels provided. Good breakfast but long queues at weekend and you need a degree to work the coffee machine otherwise highly recommend.

A comfortable, clean and quiet hotel located in central Perth. Room was modern and clean with all amenities including a good shower, comfy pillows and high quality soaps and shampoos. Friendly check-in staff. Highly recommended and great value for money. Would return for sure and good for all types of visitors.

Very centrally located , so great for getting out and about around town. The rooms were comfortable enough, although a little bit dated. Bed was very comfortable, and so were the pillows. Staff were friendly and did a good job at housekeeping each day.

Good Perth location, but does have serving issues.

A conveniently located hotel in Perth where we stayed for 5 nights. Check-in was easy and quick, with friendly helpful staff as soon as you walk into the foyer. Our room was comfortable for our stay, with excellent wifi available. The issue that arose related to servicing of the room, which we left early in the morning to return later in the afternoon/evening, each day. The shower came with the containers holding (shampoo, shower gel and conditioner). That's all well and good, but not much use when some of the containers were found to be empty on first use. Seeking out the staff member who was servicing the floor, the issue was brought to their attention, to be was rectified shortly after. On our 3rd day we returned shortly before 7pm, finding our room had been serviced with the bed made, though we had no towels, rubbish bins had not been emptied, no milk or coffee capsules were supplied. Again this was all rectified after a visit to a staff member in the foyer. As the hotel rates between 3 and 5, depending on the day, the average is 4.
