The room was nice and bright and beds were comfortable. The shower curtain was moldy in room 1103 and there was leftover food in the refrigerator from the past guest, as well as their menu for breakfast written on the room service paper. I let the front desk know and asked for the food to be removed, yet that didn’t happen. I also was asked if we would be using the restaurant, and shared that we would have breakfast. It was implied that the breakfast would be comped, yet that didn’t occur. Overall, I would choose a different hotel since there are so many to choose from.

I have stayed at 21C hotels for years as this was a big disappointment. There are so many things that need to be updated or replaced - old furniture with knicks on the tables and stains on the upholstery, frayed towels and bathmats with strings hanging down and holes throughout, the satin hanger holding the robe was showing the foam wrap around the hanger under very worn satin, stains and holes in the carpet. It felt more like a roadside Super 8 Motel, not a luxury boutique hotel. There's no longer a mini bar in the room (which ALL luxury hotels have). The mini, wonderful smelling shampoos and lotions have been replaced with large, economy-sized pump bottles (VERY tacky). The blue penguin also stays in the same place versus moving around the hotel - which was SO COOL and unique and only experienced with a 21C hotel stay. My heart is just broken to see that the company that purchased these hotels not investing the money to keep it maintained. Not sure I will be staying here again after this experience.

I stayed for a conference and the room was lovely. Well lit, large, and the food was impeccable. However, the bed and pillows (down feather?! allergies and dust anyone?) were quite uncomfortable. The texture and weight of the sheets were like paper and I was freezing. I called down for a blanket and that improved things slightly, but I still slept terribly. Also please please please get some unscented or less scented soap. I had to go buy hand soap at the drugstore because I was having allergic reactions to the hand soap. I couldn't even try to take a shower after that.
