Such a unique experience. Special shout out to front desk Rob and safari hostess in the restaurant. Love the giraffe shirt. Both made our stay memorable. Art museum was very interesting and the views from the room are incredible.

Great! I was able to get a last minute massage that was wonderful. My only complaint was that some items in my car were unnecessarrily moved around from the front passenger seat to the backseat by the valet.

I stayed one night for a massage and overnight. The rooms were nice, everything was clean. The TV had cable but no way of streaming any other services. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. I was disappointed that room service was not available until 10 am (but check out is at 11, which doesn't leave much time). There's also no fridge in the room, which was disappointing.

The hotel is well located. We were surprised that there was no housekeeping, with no making up of our room, change of towels, etc. We were very surprised that we only were given two pillows and had to ask for additional. And it room 502 15 minutes in the morning for the hot water to come up to an acceptable temperature, which was a disappointment, and it continued after the first day, when we raised the issue (to the front desk's credit, we received a day's credit). We appreciated that we brought in food from outside, but did not receive utensils, and the front desk was kind enough to give us cutlery from the lobby restaurant.

Overall we had a great time at 21c Museum Hotel in Durham. The staff were very positive and upbeat. We were always greeted with a smile (through a mask of course). The valet guy during the day, Joseph, was amazing. He would always ask us how are stay was, if we had plans and even make suggestions of things we should do or try.

This hotel does not meet the standards of other boutique hotels I have stayed at. The check in was unfriendly as the concierge yelled at my 87 year old father who is hard of hearing. The building is old and dirty. The rooms are small and noisy. The towels and mattresses may as well be from a motel. The only nice thing was the shower but it leaked water all over the floor. For the money this hotel is a great disappointment.

I have stayed at this hotel quite a bit. I would consider myself a repeat customer. In general I’m pretty pleased with my experience given that it’s during the pandemic. The beds are comfortable and the wi-Fi works well.

This is a really great hotel in the heart of Durham. It's curiously interesting as it is in a refurbished bank building. Room service is good. Nice bar. Friendly staff. Felt very safe as a single woman traveling alone.
