We loved the location, funky art museum feel to the entire hotel, and friendly staff. But upon check in we were told that one of the 2 elevators did not work (our room was on the 7th floor) but that we could use the service elevator (which we and other guests used throughout our stay). Also the shade did not go up in our room so it was dark. That didn’t bother me because we were out touring the city, but it bothered my boyfriend who would’ve preferred to have seen light outside and the street scene.

I appreciate your requesting feedback on our stay at 21c this past week. While overall, our experience was positive, some missteps prevented us from enjoying your hotel to its full potential. 1) Our room, #813, was a little shabby. One of the cabinet doors was falling off the hinges making it difficult to access the mini-fridge. I reported this on the first night of our stay with no action to repair. The second time I reported it, there was an offer to fix it, but by then, our visit was almost completed and I declined. 2) No washcloths were provided on two occasions. The housekeeper was gracious in giving us some when requested, but I would think those would be included each day with the changeover of bath linens. 3) The staff were, for the most part, kind, but their hearts weren’t in it to make our stay exceptional. 4) One of the elevators was inoperable for almost our entire stay. No explanation, apologies, or alternate options were offered. 5) What is the Urban Experience Fee?
