overall experience was disappointing. not treated well by breakfast restaurant. wanted coffee maker in room. should not have to wait until 6am for coffee -- I am an early riser. front desk and parking attendants were amazing!

We spent one night at the hotel for a couples weekend. The room was great- good view, comfortable, large TV, bathroom was great. It would have been nice to have coffee in the room. My one complaint was the mini fridge. We put leftovers in the mini fridge and took out 3 items so leftovers would fit. When my husband went to take the leftovers out, he saw a message on the fridge that we would be charged for removing the items. If you’re going to have that policy, you should have it printed on a piece of paper outside the fridge! Lots of people would miss that, especially elderly or those with visual problems.

The staff were lovely and attentive. The main issue I found was that there were a few dead moths around the drapes and laying on the ground. There were dead bugs just sitting on the window sill. It looked like there was a fridge in our room but the cabinet was locked. There were also some odd yellow stains on the ceiling in the bathroom. I assume it is from moisture build up which I understand can happen. The only way this stay could have been better would have been if the room was a bit cleaner.

I enjoyed the stay at the Fairmont. My room was quite nice. The service was wonderful. I was dissappointed that Room Service was unavailable, the entertainment was limited, and there is no upscale dining option. Perhaps COVID makes all difficult. Would also like transportation options from O'Hare. Total pricing on line should include taxes and service fee.

I was not happy to see a charge for the refreshment center which I did not use or take any think from, if I was to take a candy bar it would not be a snickers as I have never brought one in my life.

The hotel was very nice but I book 2 room we were to receive a special rate for a wedding we were attending. $245.37 a room that included city, county and state taxes. The total should have been $490.74 plus $77.00 for valet parking. My credit card was charged "$895.94". The charges are still on my card. I was told at checkout time they would email me a receipt with all my charges. Which I did get the receipt and the charge was for $405.20 only. I was charge for $40.19 for using the the bar which I did not use and for $42.00 for a food charge. I did not think I should be charged for the food since I slipped and twist my knee on a coffee spill that was not cleaned up and no caution sign. I had knee surgery and wear a brace from my ankle to the top of thigh and use crutches. I slipped once and a security person stopped my fall and then my crutches split apart and my grandson caught me but not before I severely twisted my knee. The medication I have to take for the pain and the swollen knees has to bee taken with food. I did not see the coffee spill as there was a gentleman on the floor on his hands and knees with one shoe off and someone speaking to him. I was not told by any of your staff about the spill or to be careful. Had I been told I would have turned and went the other way. It was 20 to 25 minutes before any thing was done about the spill and that only a staff member placing napkins on the floor. I was told the hotel manger would call me. I got a call from security manger who assured me the General Manger would follow up with a call. I would just like to have someone tell me why a 5 star hotel would be so lacks in the care of the hotel and for the guests. Lynda

The staff was friendly and accommodating, I have to say that your bathroom, your Lighting, and your make up mirrors were the best of any hotel I have stayed at. My only negative would have to be that the coffee pots have been removed from the rooms.

We stayed at the Fairmont to attend a wedding. Our room was excellent. We had comfortable beds and a roll in bed was added for my daughter. Everything was great. The fridge was fully stocked but since we had water bottles and some leftover pizza we had to take some of the sodas and beers out to make space. This triggered a charge for each can we removed from the fridge. The extra charges were removed on checkout so it wasn’t a problem and they would have brought up a fridge to our room if we had asked. The staff was excellent.

We have stayed at the Fairmont Hotel several times in the past. It once had beautiful views of the city but is now surrounded by other buildings. Still it is a nice hotel. Our only negative was that I had purchased a spa treatment for my wife. The treatments were fine but the desk attendant told her how much she was expected to tip because we had gotten such a good price on the package. This was out of order in our opinion.
