The hotel’s location is great. Everything is within a short walking distance (shopping, restaurants, sightseeing). The check-in and check-out experience was efficient and pleasant. I appreciated the luggage storage and the refillable water bottles that were provided. The hotel has a nice gym. I wish the bikes were in working order. I was looking forward to using the peloton bike. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay in a beautiful hotel. I liked the artwork. The penguins were cute. I was tempted to bring a plush penguin home from the gift shop.

The stay was excellent. Great reception service, lovely and comfortable room (nice touch adding a Nespresso machine!), and a delicious restaurant downstairs. Highly recommended if in the area.

Overall, I was very disappointed with the stay. I have stayed at the 21C in Cincinnati and Nashville and found them excellent. The room was generally good but simple maintenance issues listed below left me feeling like this is a low-rate version of the 21C brand. The biggest issue in the stay was the attitude of the restaurant staff, i visited the restaurant at 7:15 am, there was literately not a single person there. The manager was sat at a table with his back to the reception counter. A server appeared from the kitchen, and I asked for a takeaway coffee. I had been presented a 21% discount voucher by the front desk the night before which i asked whether it could be used for breakfast and was advised yes. When I presented the voucher for the coffee I was told that it wasn't valid and i would need to ask the manager, as it was only applicable to dine in. As i tried to continue the conversation with the server I was interrupted and given a torrent of reasons why the server got into trouble for honoring a voucher the day before. I told the server to keep the coffee, and I would leave it, to which I received "enjoy your day !!!!" This might sound trivial, but why have your front desk made such a song and dance about the discount voucher and then have such a poor attitude from the restaurant staff, it was a coffee not a bottle of champagne and all the situation has done is mean I will not use this hotel again.

The lobby is nice and there is a nice looking restaurant/bar there (I didn't eat there). The hallways are dark and it is an older building with smaller elevators. The gym is big but the Peloton was broken and maybe a treadmill too. The other treads had been used well. Lots of weight machines. Malin & Gaetz bathroom amenities, which is nice. Carpet felt a little on the older end. Bed low, but comfy. Had a small couch and chair in room. Had an extra pillow and blanket in the drawer, the pillow was dirty. Old HVAC system, windows that opened. Room was on the smaller side. Nespresso machine. Drink refrigerator. Regular mini fridge & micro available upon request.
