Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc

Spent 3 nights at the Movenpick Waverly and was very impressed by grounds and staff. Especially the buffet service we had at 8th floor restaurant for breakfast - which had a lovely atmosphere. Alice, Dennis (Phong), Chloe and Hoa were extremely courteous and attentive with nothing left to be desired. Dennis took some great photos of us at the beautiful terrace there too :) Buffet options were plentiful and delicious as well! Cảm ơn nhiều!!

Really enjoyed the breakfast! Tasty food with lots of choices, but what made it extra special was the lovely service. Big shoutout to Ky, To Nhu, Xavi & Mii, you guys were amazing and made our stay so much better. Thank you! We’ll definitely come back:):):):):):):)

Overall I would say we are very disappointed with our choice of booking with Mövenpick. We have read a few of the other bad reviews that was given by others yet we chosen to give it a chance and experience it ourself as we chose not to believe everything we read. But you should definitely believe what you read in the reviews for movenpick hotel. It is exactly what everyone is saying. 1. Poor pool maintenance. Both our children got cuts from the swimming pool tiles. They still didn’t fix it and they been getting cuts almost everyday. 2. The way the handle first aid situation. I have to ask for the first aid box 4 times before someone brought the box for my son’s cut even though they saw the urgency of it with my son bleeding from his cut. 3. They are not well equipped in their first aid kit. Being a resort by the beach and having a pool. They are not equipped with waterproof bandaid or anything to wrap your wound with that’s waterproof. 4. This is our first time staying in Accor hotel chain as we have always been a bonvoy member. In the hotel you always have to show them your membership number via the app every time you make an order instead of registering it to your room which is a big inconvenience. 5. Staff do not speak English hence it is very difficult to communicate and you constantly need Google translate just to make small order. 6. They are not consistent with staff training as you get different answers from staff at reception which causes inconvenience with shuttle and transfers and check ins. 7. They are not consistent with their own hotel rules. The hotel sign clearly say pool closes at 19pm but they allow guests to swim until late and depending on the staff you might get away with it. 8. Glass bottles are allowed in the pool which we witnessed a man dropping the glass bottle and having it all over the pool which is dangerous for children and other guests. Again inconsistent with their own rules. 9. Their hotel room doors do not shut by itself when u close it. Hence there has been a few incident where the house keeping has left out door open. 10. Staff is also unfriendly and not approachable. There are also a few incidents in the kids club where they are not consistent with the programs and the way the staff handles situation with both parents and children. 11. We lost our stuff and went to reception to ask if they find anything in lost and found. And they said they will check and get back to us. We are in the hotel for a week and no one got back to us whether they found it or even if they didn’t no one got back to us on our lost item. No follow up at all from anyone. 12. Also, the hotel safety deposit box in room , the hotel indicates that we should not put our valuable or passport in the safe box as they will not be liable. So ,where should we put our valuable when we are at the pool or beach or out. As a standard hotel policy every where else, it only indicates that they are not liable for our valuable which I can understand but Movenpick is practically saying not to use their safe deposit box in the room at all because it is not safe. It is not very comforting.

I loveee Movenpick Phuquoc,I love the suites room with beautiful view,I love the breakfast at the 8 floor and thanks to all the friendly staff Janie,Chloe,Alice,Denis and Hoa,Thanks for ur hospitality,Thanks for ur service,I hope can come back to stay here again next time..

Excellent dinner at the islander. Deliscious food and warm atmosphere. the staff Suli Wanh was very friendly and help arrange Birthday cake for son’s birthday. And help us find the toy that dropped behind the bench.LOL Thankyou so much. For the help
