During my three-night stay in Unit 138, I encountered some notable inconveniences that warrant attention. Despite the unit featuring a spacious balcony, the experience was marred by an inconsiderate permanent occupant residing above. Unfortunately, this individual chose to wash their pet's urine down the drain directly onto the outdoor area where I was seated. Furthermore, the unit presented additional challenges, such as the absence of fan knobs and insufficient kitchenware, with only three large plates and bowls available. This posed a difficulty for my family of four. The overall condition of the unit is average at best, requiring renovation and repairs, including addressing a noticeable hole in the wall. Despite my expectations from a reputable hotel under the Accor group, the experience fell short, and I am unlikely to return. I believe there are superior accommodation options available in close proximity that would better meet my needs.

Great size apartment for a family and we had the best location over looking the pool. The pool area was clean and tidy as was the access to the bbq and eating area. Would have been great if both spas were heated.

Highlight of our trip was the use of the pool area. This is fantastic for the children. They have used the space well to create a spacious pool area so it doesn't feel so crowded. Unfortunately the spa wasn't always hot - unsure why that was. Plenty of loungers, shade area and bbqs. Rooms are spacious and all have air-con. Had our own washing machine and dryer which was handy as we only got 4 towels and you had to pay for extra or wash and dry your own which was a hassle with the kids swimming all day, not giving the towels time to dry while still having to have clean towels for showers etc. Great location and close to amenities. Pacific Fair, beach and Broadbeach cafes/shops all in walking distance or a very short drive. Free parking available for each room which is great as not every hotel/resort we have stayed at has this availability.

Breakfree Diamond Beach Broadbeach - this is a great place to stay particularly for families. Our family was made up of myself (50yrs), my hubby (52yrs), Oldest daughter (24yrs), Son (20yrs) and x2 younger daughters (17yrs & 14yrs). We stayed here from Mon 23 Oct - 28 Oct 2023 and this was our first time to the Gold Coast. Location is awesome - Pacific Fair Mall is 15min walk one way, opposite direction is the beach which is couple hundred metres away maybe 10min walk. Easy walking distances to both. Tram/Bus station is 10mins walk & they come every 10-15mins and go everywhere if you don't want to drive. The POOL pics on their website is what captured my attention for our stay at this place. It really was the draw card and it did not disappoint in real life too. There are a couple of smaller pools for toddlers under 5, a larger warm pool for all ages, then there is the colder bigger pool which was nice to jump into after being out all day and you need a cool down dip. There are also 2 spa pooIs. One outside by the warm pool and the other (which is the hotter one of the 2) is inside a man made rock cave. These pools/spas are a great place to hang out at all day, especially if you're a family that loves to swim! We made sure to swim in there everyday at least 2 or 3 times per day. Also, the pool area is locked from 10pm - 7am which is a good thing, no late night yahooing or nightly swims. BBQ area by the pool is huge. Unfortunately we never got to use it, but those who did made you hungry while you're swimming around that's for sure! Walking through the complex you are surrounded by lush gardens and lovely fauna, a nicel distraction from the construction that's going on around the exterior of the resort. We stayed in a 3bdrm apartment in #Rm 163. There are 3 flights of stairs to get to this unit (not a great unit to be in if you have older people or those with disabilities in your group) but this is mentioned on their website. CONSTRUCTION is everywhere on the GC, 2 of the rooms balconies in this unit open right on up to it. Construction noise starts around 6am to 4pmish, but luckily we didn't stay indoors much as there were too many theme parks, zoos, restaurants & shopping to do...😂😂 NO WIFI I had a mutiny on my hands because there was no wifi! The resort offers 2hrs per day free wifi, but after that you have to pay for more if you need it....stupid considering you pay a lot to stay there?! The Malls where a great alternative for the kids to connect wirelessly & for free! I'm in no way tech savvy, but apparently if you buy a sim card with data on it, you'll be back online instantly 🤣 duh! The unit lacked a few essential items - spatula, cups, toilet paper, laundry powder...but those were minor things. So, If you're looking for somewhere to stay with all the ultra modern bells and whistles, this place wouldn't be for you. Overall we were very happy with our apartment. It wasn't as flash and modern looking as those around it but it was clean and spacious and very affordable for what we got. We really enjoyed our stay, so much so that I'm booking again for next year and with more family 😊👍

Great family amenities. Children loved the pool area. Very clean. Peaceful setting. Within walking distance to beaches, shopping, clubs and eateries. Life savers on all beaches. Great parks and bike tracks Highly recommended for family holiday.
