Very clean hotel with good facilities and parking next door. Parking was reasonably priced as were the breakfast. Staff were helpful and provided assistance promptly. Bed was very comfortable and room facilities although basic, met all of my needs. Overall stay was very pleasant.

Good location and pleasant stay

Check-in and check-out both quick and easy. Staff at reception and breakfast were all friendly and helpful. Room was clean and everything worked as expected. It just so happened that I was allocated a room where door was immediately next to the adjacent room so sounds from door opening and closing are quite loud. Tea and coffee sachets were well stocked and even a small carton of milk was provided in the fridge. There was no daily housekeeping with the room rate but this wasn't and issue as I only stayed 2 nights. Secure car parking is an additional charge per day with direct access to underground car park via internal lift. The hotel wifi is an open network but you have to use a given code to sign in, so this could be an issue for those who prefer to use a closed network. My experience was that any device that is connected to the wifi will automatically disconnect past midnight and had to be reconnected again the following day. During my stay, only breakfast was available in the restaurant. The location was close enough to other food outlets within 5 minute walking distance. Overall a pleasant stay.

Smell spread/flow from toilet to the bed room as the exhaust is broken. No drinking water bottle provided. There is no room service. Asked for a bottle of water, the reception said to come to lobby to get/buy from the counter. Limited TV Chanels.

The location close to Canberra Centre is just the best. The proximity to restaurants shopping and pubs cannot be beat. One of the best hotels in its class I have ever stayed in. The staff were fantastic and breakfast buffet was great. Wish their restaurant was open for lunch and dinner as well. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

Despite the images on the website these rooms have a very dark and dank aspect. They are in desperate need of a renovation. The pot and pans (very scratched, worn and dirty) are stored under the sink next to the bin. I went out and bought my own cooking an and cutlery because they were all so dirty. A colleague also had the same proble and asked reception for pans and was advised to wash it before use, it’s condition was appalling. My bedroom window felt like it was decorated for halloween, full of very big cobwebs and opaque with dirt. This is not the usual 4 star standard I expect anywhere. I cannot believe it’s rated in this manner and allowed to be art of the mantra group. I dont think the area is very safe at night, there was a robbery in the street underneath the balcony at 3am on my second night. Not the hotel’s fault but it gives you a overall idea of the experience I had. If i could have slept in the foyer I would have, its the best thing about the hotel.
