Wonderful 4 nights from the moment we arrived. Greeted by friendly, polite and helpful staff. We were fortunate to be upgraded from a 1 bed ocean view to a 2 bed ocean view. Wonderful to lie in bed and whale watch. Apartments were very well equipped and excellent position opposite beach.

We still love it here and have been coming for 17 years for 1 to 3 weeks in June or July. The view is fantastic and the apartment spacious clean and near many cafes and restaurants. We have a great shower and washing machine and dryer. It is nice to have 2 TV's and the bed is comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

We had a beautiful time there. Our view was incredible on Level 14. Everything was within walking distance. Shopping and restaurants were at our door. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you again to the beautiful staff that were very welcoming.

Disappointed stay.

Great helpful staff but disappointing property as each room is privately owned the standards are hit and miss. One room was good another was very poor. It had the dirtiest carpet I have seen in a hotel room and not everything worked as it is up to the owner of the property as to how they present it for rental. Mantra need to enforce standards or not rent the room out as it is a very poor and disappointing reflection on their brand.

We understand your concerns about the variability in room standards, as each room at Mantra Coolangatta Beach is privately owned and managed. We apologize for the issues you experienced with the cleanliness of the carpet and the functionality of certain amenities. This is certainly not reflective of the high standards we strive to maintain. We generally conduct professional carpet cleaning services quarterly in our apartments, and have flagged this unit to be completed this week. Your feedback regarding the enforcement of standards is valuable to us, and we will review our processes to ensure that all rooms meet the expectations of our guests. Great Location ....but....

The Location was excellent however we were unaware that the Motel did NOT clean the rooms/change the towels/empty bins etc unless you stay 8 nights (if you do they do it after 4 nights). We were made aware of this by a little handout at arrival - it was not written on the website. The website said there would be a ""Professional Clean''. We stayed 5 nights. After 3 nights I asked for a bin empty and dry towels at Reception. I was offered a bin liner to do it myself . We paid FULL asking price for the room. They did empty ONE bin and change the towels however Reception did not seem pleased that I asked. (We had not read the 5 font bit about the 8 days at that point...which would not have mattered anyway because good guest service is good guest service whether 1 day or 8) The towels were small and meagre so remained wet and needed changing. I guess I could have washed and dried them myself however NOT when, as mentioned, I was paying FULL asking price. The security parking was NOT secure - the roller gates did not close. Apparently there was a broken ''bit'' (reception said) . We were there 5 nights and they were not fixed- leaving the underground carparking area completely open for anyone to stroll in. The Secure Parking was one of the ''selling points''. Mantra also appears to upsell scented candles. There was one burning at the reception desk. I mentioned a number of times that it was overwhelming and unpleasant - we had the room behind reception. They did nothing. There was a naked flame on the high reception desk. Hair length. So dangerous and stinky. Also - terrible water pressure in the shower, with hard to use consumables. The pump tops were tiny and didn't pump well Overall OK - however with a few tweaks in attitude and cleanliness/service it could be perfect. All of the above would not be worth comment but for the website and brand 'hype' and image. We expected more and were disappointed when the ''press'' did not match the reality - for the $$$$
