The rooms were clean but balcony could have done with a broom & have glass cleaned

I am sorry to say as when I booked nobody told me it was a non smoking resort .My friend as well as other guests were treated like criminals .having to walk outside into street . In every club you go they have facilities were people can smoke . 2)Breakfast waited from 8 am ---2.15 pm for toaster . 3) Trying to get into Spa was a nightmare,it was full with parents & small children again we had to wait app 45 mins ,only to be told when supervised its fine .I also raised 3 children & have 14 grandchildren but would consider other people.

The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped. The pool and spa area was inviting and the grounds well maintained. The location is great. An easy walk to Woolworths, the harbour, shops and an assortment of eateries. Very reasonably priced.

Not Mantra standard, only 3 star local kotel standard

Like a 3 star motel, Terrible, cheating,.. if you are travelling with family better check the room before you are taking it. They know very well people cancel booking after they see the apartments , like here we stayed in no.52. That is the reason , they are taking the payment 3 days before you check in. And no refund. Dirty, dark rooms,... Dirty towel with someone's shi.. on it,, I returned it to reception, but they don't mind... Broken kitchen plates,, pans .... Uncomfortable toilet... it will break your shoulder. Or you stay in that room and find out. We requested a good apartment as it is our wedding anniversary, they agreed, but allocated the worst room, dirty room, parking far away, no balcony, smelly room. They already took the money $705 3days before. Very bad stay ever ... Why it is 4 star, no way, if you are staying in an appartments like no.52.. Dark room , smelly room, parking is far away from your apartment no.52. Horrible stay 3 star motel like

Without a doubt the filthiest accommodation I have ever experienced from what you would hope was a reputable organisation. Booked the 3 bedroom penthouse for myself and my parents for a two night stay. The first thing we did was go to the nearby supermarket and buy cleaning products. I’ve attached pics to show some of the areas that were just unacceptably dirty but there were too many to highlight. There were ring marks on tables, putrid dining table, crisps all over the balcony and the bathroom obviously hadn’t had a proper clean in a long time. I have sent a message to Mantra to contact me but I haven’t heard back. Will never stay in an Accor branded hotel again. Shame, the view was lovely and the apartment very spacious.

Cleanliness is one of our highest priorities at Mantra Nelson Bay. We are regretful that (a) this room was not spick and span on arrival and (b) that these issues were not brought to our attention during the guests' stay... we would have happily rectified it. Corrective action has since been taken. We do hope that your resolve to not return does waiver Brooke, as it would be our pleasure to welcome you again and to see you have the experience that you should have had this time around! Fantastic. Great resort, big well equipped room with balcony overlooking the beautiful pool, spa and gardens, excellent staff and the resort is within easy walking distance of the shopping centre, cafe's and bayside. One of the best we have stayed at for quite a while.
