We stayed 2 nights and loved our stay. The location is perfect, close to everything in the city. The hotel is newly renovated, beautifully clean and the staff are very friendly. The room configuration is great with a little couch to sit at a coffee table to watch TV. We highly recommend The Clarence Hotel.

Large clean well presented room ( part of ACCOR group ) in a recently renovated boutique hotel - small but adequate bathroom with walk in shower . Close to CBD , short stroll to Darling Harbour with close access to Light Rail and many smaller well patronised restaurants -

Great little hotel in a great location. The rooms are not massive but as I was only staying the one night that did not matter. The room had everything I needed for my stay and I especially noted the number of power points in lots of useful locations. As a solo female traveler knowing there was a 24 hour reception was very welcome, but I did not felt I needed as the hotel was quiet and secure.

Did you know our King rooms are as large as 24 sqm, so we do recommend these if staying more than 1 night. Took the train from airport to Wynyard station and got off and walked about 10 minutes to hotel. Had a lot of luggage so glad we booked the bigger king room as we were there 8 nights. Excellent location near light rail, buses, sights and many restaurants and coffee shops. Coles grocery, pharmacy and beautiful QVB building right around the corner. Going the other direction you can walk short distance and escalator down to Barangaroo Wharf. Lots of fancy restaurants and atmosphere. We ate at a pleasant meal at the reasonably priced Pontoon Bar on the wharf. Hope to return. Nomi, Sofia and Maxime made it a 5 star experience for us.

Loved my two recent stays at The Clarence. It is perfectly located a short walk from food, shopping and the train to the airport. The rooms are lovely and contain everything needed for a short stay. The staff are very well chosen, with a special mention of Maxime on reception who charmingly accommodated my very basic attempts at speaking French and always had a smile. Sophia also a pleasure to talk to. The housekeeping staff were the friendliest I have met in a hotel. I'll definitely return, and am looking forward to trying the restaurant when it opens.
