I have stayed here at least 3 times now and the fact that Andres at the front desk remembers me and calls me by my first name goes a very long way. We maybe come to MVD once or twice a year for work and have always enjoyed staying at the Costanero. It is always nice to see the same faces working there as well. Concierge is also wonderful! There are 3 different men that I recall, but the gentleman that works mainly during the day is incredible and always so pleasant. There are several pros with this hotel and the only con that I can think of is the restaurant food as it is just okay and nothing to rave about. This also goes for the room service food. It would also be nice to have more gluten free options (e.g. pizza, hamburger bun, etc.).

This is an extraordinary staff that provided exemplary service, particularly in the restaurant & bar. I observed complete dedication to professionalism in all areas of food/beverage, lobby/hospitality and cleaning staff. Awesome room. We had a three day stay in Montevideo while traveling though the region. Hotel Costanero was a lovely respite on our two week trip. Attention to detail and customer service remain at the forefront of their operations. The location is great with sweeping water views from the hotel restaurant and water front rooms. The lobby is welcoming and modern with a hip bar and lounge area. The staff were all very friendly and you could tell enjoyed working at the hotel. I would stay again.
