The hotel is nice and comfortable. Check in was a disaster. I was assigned a room that was not the booked category and the front desk clerk did not mention anything. Went to the room and back to the reception to complain. It took 30 mins to the clerk to assign me a room (at 11:30pm after a long day of traveling and working). Very bad customer service experience.

I stayed at this hotel with my mom for only 4 days but it was an extremely memorable experience. Location 10/10, staff 1000/10. I had booked a room via Booking but emailed the staff to check if it was a sea view room or a regular one, since i was traveling with my mom i wanted her to have the best view. They informed me my booking was for a regular stay and gave me the prices for an upgrade, which I didn't do and just forgot about. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, months later, I was informed by the extremely nice and polite guy at the reception that they gave us an upgrade for free so we could have the best time during our stay. I was so touched! They put us in an amazing room with an amazing view, free of extra charges. Everything about the hotel is great. Extremely clean, food insanely delicious, comfortable settings, polite staff, again: great view (every time I went back to the room I would just sit in front of the window and stare at the coast for hours). On behalf of myself and my mom, I would like to specifically thanks Susan from restaurant Cauce and Anibal from the bar Cauce at the lounge. Extremely polite people with such warm souls who just did everything in their power to make us comfortable and happy. Both of them provided excellence in their jobs while also effortlessly portraying how beautiful their souls were. Give them a raise!! Can't wait to go back to Montevideo just so I can stay at this amazing place once more!

Great location, great rooms, but there were certain things that happened which ruined my experience. The elevator stopped working at one point, forcing me to take the stairs. The shower changed temperatures randomly throughout. My room was way too cold by default. Bedsheets were difficult to remove. These details ruined the experience for me. The bartender was a great fellow, though.
