Took over 40mins to find the entrance - I used the address not the hotel name - very convoluted lift system - reception on 3rd floor - very comfortable quiet room - great nights sleep - eat elsewhere unless you like cold breakfast - had a $32 burger last night - tasted like frozen woolies patties!

We have stayed at the Mercure Doncaster previously and had an enjoyable stay. Returning this year the hotels room is still very nice, however, the buffet breakfast and service is very very disappointing with food running out despite not being busy and staff just lacking that bit of professionalism, just not capable of restocking simple things like bowls and cutlery. Not a good look for a hotel trading as four star. Four star room, definitely not a four star breakfast buffet and service.

Quite a modern build but service is shocking. No mini bar in the room, no toiletries, no room service, restaurant menu is pathetic. Waited over 40 minutes for a beefburger meal and was served something that looked like processed offal. Tables were filthy and had to ask a staff person to clean the one I was sitting at even though the restaurant was 80% empty. Staff were apathetic, unfamiliar with smiling or other pleasantries.
