The Ibis Style Gelsenkirchen is an excellent choice for convenience, located just a 5-minute walk from Gelsenkirchen main station. The room was quite large, clean, and comfortable, complete with a working desk and wardrobe. Be aware, however, that there is no mini-fridge or tea/coffee facilities. The breakfast is standard and acceptable, though the variety is limited and was almost the same over my 4-day stay. A major plus is the staff, who were all kind and helpful. Overall, a solid stay focusing on location and comfort.

Great location, near the main bahnhof. The staff is very warm, effective and helpfull. The Bar (good atmosphere) and frontdesk are working 24/7 Simple decent breakfast * The street is noisy, but if you close the window - it's too hot (no Air Condition). Nice hotel for one night but doesn't justify the price.

No Air Com

Hotel staff were friendly when I had to get my key coded every day and when I was leaving I was help to get a taxi that actually took credit card. On check in staff were great and my only issue with my stay was the no air con. It’s was up to 46 degrees on day during my stay and the whole trip was over 30 degrees I never got a good sleep any night.

Bad experience

When we arrived the lady at the reception was very rude; no hello/welcome no smile, she looked like she hated her job. They woke us at 9 a.m (knock on door twice) and even entered the room WHEN WE HUNG THE DONT DISTURB TAG at the door an hour later (me and my partner were both naked) We had breakfast at 9:30 and a lot was already eaten, they didnt refill the breakfast even though breakfast is until 10 a.m. Pillows were very small and room very hot.

We also apologize to you for the awakening of our housekeeping, this will not happen in the future. If you want a second pillow, you can ask at the reception for one oder two more pillows. This is also valid for vans, because we doesn't have air condition in our rooms. Standard business hotel

I spend one night in this very standard business hotel. There is nothing wrong in this hotel everything works and is like in all other Ibis hotels. Parking is paid separately but is is good. Room was spacious and well working. Cleanliness is very good level. Breakfast is good. Location is good and in walking distance you can find many restaurants and bars. I can recommend to business travelers who do not expect anything special.
