As an ExHotel manager all I can say is that this place has all the night things. Parking is a bit limited but there is plenty of street parking ! The rooms are spacious and clean and lots of natural light. We stayed in room 107 so we were on the side of the building and had windows that opened above the beds plus the big balcony. Kitchenette has everything you need for a short stay and good quality crockery and glassware etc. Bathroom was clean and the amenities such as shower gels and soaps etc. were very high quality, scented with lemongrass and ginger so very refreshing. The shower unlike most places had really decent water pressure. The Sebel overall was clean and has friendly staff not to mention the amazing rooftop bar and pool…. The kids can swim and splash around without annoying other guests enjoying an afternoon cocktail……10 out of 10 from me and we will definitely be staying here when in the area.

The hotel staff were friendly and informative. The room was large and clean on arrival. Had a giant bed and slept like a log in it. Check in was very quick and easy as well. The locality means that I will be going back there again in future. All in all an enjoyable stay

Dear Madam . I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience we encountered during our recent stay on the 17th and 18th February 2024. My husband and I travel down from Innisfail to Redcliffe to visit our son who is a police officer at Redcliffe. Upon arrival at 2.00pm we were told that our room was on the ground floor.I explained that I had booked on the 3 Rd of October 2023 for a city view room for $242 a night. The receptionist wasn’t interested she said the hotel is fully booked and that is your room. I explained that when I booked you certainly were not fully booked.The staff weren’t rude just didn’t care. I have been a Accor member for many years. We usually stop at Oaks but decided to stay at Sebel because it is part of the Accor chain. The room on the ground floor had a view of the footpath. Room 3 is off the corridor to the reception so noise from people walking past, noisy people walking on footpath and unable to open curtain as people walking past could look in. Then there was the smell of cooking from the kitchen that made you want to gag. Lastly the ceiling above the bed is dirty, has water stains and mould on it , I have photos. We feel disappointed that the Sebel has let down the Accor brand, I have never had cause to complain before but was very disappointed by our experience and the way we were treated at you hotel.I trust you will treat this email seriously and take steps to clean and paint the ceiling for the benefit of future guests. I look forward to receiving a response re my concerns. I don’t feel we could stay there again so we will be going back to the Oaks in future. Yours sincerely Roger and Diane Green Sent from my iPad

Amazing hotel, location and stunning views

First visit to Margate Beach /Redcliffe area and to the Sebel. Firstly the area is amazing, so pretty and relaxed yet plenty to do mainly around Redcliffe. The hotel is small but really good, I booked an ocean view room and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The views were amazing, the rooms are beautifully done yet still have a relaxed vibe and the large furnished balcony was excellent and perfect for an afternoon vino overlooking the water. The rooftop pool is small but adequate and the rooftop bar looked amazing but only open Fridays - Sunday. Sunny’s restaurant downstairs has great views across to the water,lots of outside dining and I found the staff to be friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back

We stayed as a couple in one of the of the bayside rooms with a view. Just one night but it was blissful. Very clean and a comfortable well appointed room. The roof top bar is a great place to have a drink plus overlooking the bay. It’s a very small area and if there are one or two parties booked, it’s very busy especially at the weekend. Very pleasant staff and very obliging. My one dislike was the size of the vanity. As it was only one night, it wasn’t a big deal but I do like bigger areas to put my toiletries down. The air conditioner had been mentioned in other reviews so we were for warned. As soon as you open the balcony door, it cuts out. I was resting on the bed while my partner wanted to step out and sit outside, after he closed the door behind him, I had to get up and turn the aircon back on. Same when he came back into the room. I can see why some people found this very annoying. Still we did enjoy our stay, hopefully we might be able to return one day.
