The drain smell in each room has long been an issue at this property. Years of it. When coupled with shagged-out mattresses that haven't been changed in years; hammocks belong on beaches, not in a business suite - and show all the signs of aging. Sleeping in these rooms leaves one waking up needing a hang with gravity boots or a shiatsu to get straightened out. The split system A/C filters resemble a mushroom garden and deliver air laden with dust and mildew that rival the smell coming from the bathroom drains... it's just not right for $290 a night. Staff do their best, and Accor recognition is a plus (when it works - often falls off booking). Such a shame the Tumbling Stone restaurant got sold off to a rarely open enterprise 'Kick-Inn' no real ambience here and certainly no breakfast. High praise for SisCo down the road for breakkie and the wonderful, unique Creole-Soul for dinner. The jewel of this hotel is the rooftop pool, sadly besmirched by an equally aging gymnasium. A clean, re-imagination of this workout space and detailed servicing, or better yet, replacing the broken down equipment would do wonders. All salvageable, but really needs some elbow grease and attention to getting it fixed for good to bring this property back up to a great place to stay in Spring Hill, Brisbane.

Fantastic hotel, with even better staff. Rooms comfortable and quiet, and the bed was amazing. Lacks a restaurant on site but this can be overlooked if everything else is done right, and it was. Thanks, will be back

Not a bad place but stung with extra cost to park car there beds were too soft but only stayed one night to get early flight not enough signage into place when driving only stayed there as I got it half price

My family of four stayed 6 nights for the Australian Junior Athletics Championships being held in Brisbane. The 2 bedroom apartment was excellent. Great size, excellent beds and all the mod cons. The gold handles to all kitchen fixtures, cupboards, draws, fridge in our room were loose, poorly screwed on. The dishwasher handle came off the 2nd time of opening. Aircons were perfect and TVs for comfort in all rooms. We had twins 11yrs old. So size of apartment was ok. If teenagers it would be difficult. Gym was great. The pool was awesome. Kids and wife enjoyed the poolside all 6 days. I was told there were plenty of restaurants along the street. I'd say this is incorrect eating with young children. Kickin In was an 'ok' experience. But just a couple of places to eat. We had to walk 15min min to Italian and other kids/family friendly restaurants. We went for a walk to grab coffee as the excellent coffee shop across the road is closed on weekends. We walked to the top of the road towards Brisbane Gammer. There is a hotel or a 'halfway house ' at the top. We walked past as quickly as possible around this big block. There was Police and ambulance on sight. We were abused, approached and yelled at by shirtless men. We drove past this at least twice per day & every time there was police, ambulance or action out the front. We were not warned. I'd direct everyone down towards the city.

Well located near CBD but in a quieter part of town. Large room, well equipped with quality furniture, artwork, fittings and serving ware. Nice big bathroom with good shower. But the staff are the highlight. Super friendly, great personality and very knowledgeable and efficient.
