We had a delightful stay at the Ibis Styles Palermo Cristal during our visit to Palermo. All the front office and service staff were exceptionally receptive and cordial, always eager to help us in every aspect and treating us like family. The hotel was also generous enough to provide us with an early check-in, which was helpful after our long haul journey from India. Our room could comfortably accommodate our family of three and was kept neat and tidy. The breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of items with more of an English than Italian flair. Located in a prime spot, the hotel made commuting to various places easy, with plenty of local food and shopping options nearby. Additionally, the hotel has a group of trusted drivers available for airport transfers and local travel assistance. As we were checking out early in the morning to return to our home country, the front desk staff touched our hearts by offering to pack our breakfast in a special box. Than you very much, Ibis Styles Palermo Cristal; we would definitely come again if we return to Palermo.

The photos did not reflect the true rooms. We had dinner on the 7th floor, the views were spectacular but the food was average. The best part of this hotel is the proximity to the Port and the staff, who provided wonderful service and were extremely helpful.

Well located, but noisy, scruffy and overpriced rooms

This is a well-located adequate but is very overpriced for the quality delivered experience. Pluses: the front desk staff is very helpful-the staff double as bartenders so you can get a beer, wine or cocktail anytime. The hotel rooms have a lot of light fixtures, bedside reading lights that can be switched off while in bed, and the windows are pretty soundproofed. Ample towels with big oversized bath towels that are in good condition. The safe in the wardrobe closet is small-wallets and phones fit but not big enough for a laptop computer. There is also an empty mini-fridge and a hot water kettle and tea bags in the room. Minuses: The style of the lobby is nothing like the spartan rooms upstairs-the rooms are compact, with dated and scuffed up walls and furnishings. The faux wood floor had sections missing. The shower in the bathroom is tiny and has a slippery floor-you need to be thin and nimble to use it. The hallway corridors are tiled so you hear every footstep and conversation. Sunday morning are the worst. Elevators are claustrophobic and tiny-pretty on par for Italy. The buffet breakfast is in a dreary basement room and is low quality too-avoid the hot items scrambled eggs are cooked to dry and crumbly, bacon is mostly fat and the wurst-style sausages are withered and dry. The cold items are ok-stick to cornetto, pastries, yogurts and fruit. The sliced ham and cheese are straight out of the grocery store. Make your own coffee using the self-service machines. Or go elsewhere-there are plenty of cafes in the area. If I had paid 50% of the room price it would be a fair price/value exchange.
