Good location to get around on foot~

Hotel is in a good location. We could walk to everything we wanted to see. There is a large block of streets that are pedestrian only and full of restaurants and shopping about 2 blocks from hotel. It’s a really nice vibe to walk these streets after dinner, many locals out with their families for their evening walk. Our hotel room was a good size, clean, bed was comfy, but furniture could use updating. We had to move from our original room because the smell from the smoke stack attached to the house outside window bothered my husband. Not sure why, but we had to debate with the front desk (1st shift) why we needed to move. She kept saying we have a very nice room why would you want to move? Breakfast was good and I give kudos to the 2 young ladies on the desk in the late afternoon. They always greeted us and were very helpful when we needed it.

A staff member double booked our reservation. When we arrived we were told that 6 rooms,not 3 rooms, were booked and we had to pay for all for first night. We explain to her it was the company‘s fault, but she refused and tried to tell us that we could each have our own room for the first night to get our moneys worth. After providing emails and insisted on talking to the manager, the representative at the front desk finally corrected the booking so we did only pay for one room each.

We had high hopes for this hotel, especially given the inviting look of the lobby, but unfortunately, the rooms didn’t live up to expectations. While the room was spacious and comfortably fit three people with two queen-sized beds, it’s clear that the space is in need of a refresh. The bathroom was also roomy, but the shower-over-bathtub setup lacked a handle bar, which made getting out feel a bit unsafe—especially with no bath mat provided. The carpet in the room looked dated, and my husband kept sneezing, possibly due to dust or allergens trapped in it. The annex would probably be a better choice . For the price we paid, we expected better upkeep and comfort. This hotel really needs an update to match its rates and first impressions.

Room is actually probably a little bigger than a typical European room that I expect property is definitely on the older side, but fairly well maintained Breakfast a little bit on the weaker side compare to some of the other hotels we visited this trip. Heavily focused in pastry. But they’re great little restaurants and a street pedestrian shopping area all extremely close. You can also easily walk to the water.
