The Hotel is situated in a prime area. When we checked in, we were told that our room was in another part a block away. We had to pull 5 suitcases without getting any help. Anyway, the room was cool, clean and had everything though a bit small for spending four nights. The inconvenience is that you had to get out to go for breakfast. Two positive things. Very good varied breakfast, cold cuts, hot cooked stuff, fruits, yoghurt every thing of quality. The other good thing was the restaurant. The food was quite what you find in a quality a la carte restaurant, very tasty and varied, some good wines well priced. The prices are very good and considering that the quality was great. We dined two times there and service was good as well. Something which very much left a sour taste was the Garage and Valet Service. They take the car. I asked if I could go myself with it but the receptionist painted it a bit difficult, however it took around an hour of waiting time to get the car to the hotel door. Also since we were in the annex, we had to carry our heavy bags to the main building. Near the annex, there are heavy stone pots and it is impossible to load/unload your car in the street. For me, this was a huge inconvenience.

Air conditioning sucks. Room old and dated. Nice bar and friendly staff. Area super greasy full of garbage and dog crap everywhere. Unless you have to be here I wouldn’t recommend at all. Staff again very friendly and helpful Spanish bartender super nice cool guy.

The hotel is in a great location and its easy to walk from here to Palermo's main attractions. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfy and the reception staff were very helpful. Our room was a little dated and the furniture had seen better days but that was not really a problem. The cardboard cups provided in the room were no use, glasses and cups needed, we stole 2 glasses from the breakfast room but had to buy 2 tea cups. Breakfast is only OK, the same thing everyday and the queue for tea and coffee as there are no machines and one girl trying to make everyone's drink to order gets very busy takes so it can take a long time and the drinks are cold. No rolling toaster made toast a long process too. Its not a hotel I would return to unless breakfast was sorted out

This hotel is great value, we had a room in the annexe over the road , which was lovely , staff were helpful, room nice with all you need , could perhaps do with adding some English tv channels but it didn’t spoil anything, the location is great within east Ealing distance of everything and just by the 101 bus stop from the train station ,breakfast was goos with a good choice of items , I would stay here again and recommend.

DebS530 Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

I have just had a week at this hotel as a solo traveller. After reading reviews on this site, I was a bit hesitant at check in when they told me I would be in the adjacent building. I was walked over by a staff member (it’s across the road) and what a pleasant surprise. Huge room and bathroom which you want for a week. It was so quiet and so close to everything. Palermo was beautiful and as a single, older woman, I felt safe walking everywhere, even at night. I would go over to the main hotel - and yes, it is busy with tours - every morning for breakfast and the staff were attentive even though they are busy. This hotel is a Mercure, so expect tour companies to use it. If you don’t like that, pay for a more exclusive hotel. I can’t understand the complaints on here about the other building - even the lift which I only used once was perfect fine. The rooms are on the first floor so not sure why the lift is even used other than arrival and departure. I would definitely recommend this hotel for location, price, spotlessly clean rooms and friendly and caring staff - well done to all ☺️
