It was an exceptional experience staying at this hotel. The hotel is close to everything so its very convenient to visit all the places. The highlight were the staff of this hotel, they were very welcoming and fiendly. They always had smile on their face, nohing is too much for them when asked. They couldn't do enough for you. We had our flight cancelled at the last min and although it was fustrating and upsetting that we were stack there but the staff made us feel happy, we had to spend our christmas in the hotel and the staff provided us with christmas meal. All the staffs were deserves praise. Namely Martina, Valeria, Nadia and Barbara, they were exceptionally outstanding in their customer service. thank you again for your hospitality and we hope to see you again in the future.

i would actually give Mercure a 5 star but there denial in providing me with iron is what has let me to give three stars. it was really sad that they would not have an iron and iron board! breakfast was 4 on 5 dinner was 3 on 5 also it’s sad that they provide preheated frozen food in there resturant . so the bottom line is if you don’t need an iron for your clothes and you can find an alternative to there restaurant then it is a nice compact place .It’s a good hotel for 1-2 nights . But more than that i would suggest to avoid. Also may be due to covid regulations the AC was not working . also the front desk is nice and responsive.

I was sorry to learn that your stay on this occasion fell short of your expectations concerning the dinner and I apologise for any discomfort or inconvenience caused by the absence of the iron and iron board. Unfortunately, as my colleague explained you, for safety reasons we cannot provide any iron and iron board in the room, but we do provide an external laundry service for any need. I would like to apologise furthermore for the dinner you experienced: the menu offers a wide range of fresh choices, I am sorry If you felt your dish was not fresh as It was supposed to be. I will talk to the F&B manager to make sure that the waiter will help any customer on this hard choice of the fresh dish. I was really happy with the choice I made. Hotel is well located, close to shops and all attractions. I was able to park my car in front of the hotel (which was a huge luck) and I did not move the car for two days. Room was really nice, spacious, spotless clean - definitely fantastic value for money. All hotel staff followed strict COVID-19 procedures. Breakfast was served by staff and I was really impressed. All staff (breakfast, bar and reception) were always extremely attentive, professional and always welcomed us with a genuine smile and assistance. I would definitely come back there! Higher standard rooms are nicer and the price difference wasn't big. The only issue I had is the doors which you have to focus to close - I had problems with mine and noticed neighbors left their doors open at least twice in two days - this should be looked into.

Hotel is in a good location and has a good price. Check in and out was quick. Room had a good size and was always cleaned (although there is a constant sewage smell coming from the shower drain). Breakfast was ok, could be better, specially in regards to a simple thing - the eggs, instead of using this scrambled eggs dough it would be so much better if the eggs were real. In my opinion that spoils the breakfast experience.

Well located establishment, nice breakfast, ample and comfortable room (with no carpet!), wonderful bathroom. However, we cut short our stay after being robbed in the room. We both were in home office, thus spending most of the day in the room. We left the room shortly on Saturday September 19 and on Sunday September 20. Upon our return, we found the room door open; the safe box was closed (that is, there was no sign that it had been forced), but EUR 5.000 (five thousand euros) had vanished. It is possible that a staff member knows how to open the safe box and he/she waited us to leave to enter the room. Staff directed us to report to the Police. However, we had no evidence that the money (cash) was taken, given that the safe box had not been forced. We asked staff to check the corridor video camera, but they were indifferent to our situation. We returned to Portugal immediately and then cut short our vacation, due to the loss of five thousand euro. We are ABSOLUTELY sure that the cash was in the safe box on Friday September 28. I have been a Accor's guest for many years (Gold and Business cards). It is most regrettable that a Mercure offers so little safety to its Palermo's guests. It is even more regrettable that staff was not helpful at all (on the contrary, they did not seem concerned with our situation).

According to the information in my possession, you reported the loss of money only at check-out and the Assistant Manager of the hotel, as usual, informed you that to activate the procedure you had to go to the police to make a denunciation, and only after that we could have seen the cameras but you refused and you preferred to leave. Furthermore, we inform you that the keys to unlock the safe are held exclusively by a manager and we totally exclude that they may have been used to open your safe. Staff were friendly. The hotel communal areas were spotless, as was the room, which was spacious. Great location to walk to the centre but also to access the ferry. We will be back for sure.

The Hotel is modern, clean and the rooms are big etc. Only thing that urgently should be cleaned are the windows ;), but the bath and room are very clean. But the current covid-19 restrictions are really bad organized, at the Breakfast there is a hugh line cause only one person is serving the main dishes another person serving coffee etc.. With the same manpower there could be much better solutions (as seen in other Accor hotels). Also at the checkin i didn't received a welcome drink voucher (as platinum) and not the welcome gift on the room... Anyway... i would recommend the Hotel for a stay.

The hotel was situated within minutes walking to the main streets bars and restaurants. The breakfast should be avoided at all cost as there were not enough staff to serve customers with their new covid-19 procedure. Tables were not being set for new customers promptly. Some tables were set but had no cutlery. A line is formed to collect few items of breakfast served by one member of staff. Very soon we found ourselves back in the line for something else until we had enough of waiting in the line. Coffee was offered to the same table by 2 members of staff who were rather busy cleaning up tables, replenishing breakfast items or serving other customers. I managed to get his attention to ask for coffee. After a long wait I reminded the member of staff and he acknowledge that he had not forgotten about it. Eventually, the coffee arrived but it was tepid. When I waited In line for my orange juice and when it was my turn, the orange juice bottle was now finished and the person serving said that she would bring it to my table when the new bottle arrives. You have guessed it. My orange juice never arrived. I was also instructed to take cutlery from other tables where customers don't require. This lack of cutlery occurred on two consecutive mornings. The two members of staff simply cannot manage. Guests are now taking longer time waiting in one place for food. The person in front of me was not wearing a mask and was doing a casual morning cough. How come some people are allowed without a mask. If they are unable to keep a face mask why not treat this customers separately from others. This has seriously damaged my trust in Mercure Hotels.

More like a 3 * noisy rooms and terrible showers, half of staff nice and courteous the other half rude and unprofessional, fabulous location! I’ve stayed there a couple of times and it will definitely not be a third one

I enjoyed my stay here. The location is a good one, within walking distance of many sights and eateries. The service was excellent, whether at the front desk, for the room, and at the breakfast buffet. The choices at the breakfast buffet were varied and tasty. I also appreciated the hors d'oeuvres that the bar area puts out in the evening. The room rate was very good and the room was comfortable; however, note that the rooms vary in size and my room was slightly smaller than the rooms I've typically had at Mercure hotels. Regardless, I was pleased with my stay.

It was nice to have a room with a balcony, though I didn't get to spend much daylight time at the hotel. The hotel was typical of the Mercure hotels. Though the room was too warm, and there seemed to be no way to cool it. 12 minutes from the port and 30 minutes from Centrale train station was the reason I chose this particular hotel. The evening restaurant was adequate, but the menu was the same every night which was limiting for choice.

This was our first time at the hotel all was good except the AC didn’t work as good as it should have, we are going to stay there one time before heading back to the states let’s see if they can fix it!
