I am trying to be positive, objective and factual. The hotel is filthy and dirty: It smells and the odors are offensive It’s old and badly maintained Rooms on the first floor look out to garbage that smells and the windows open to some cement and metal pillars A lot of the rooms have windows that open to a stairwell and anyone or better said anything like a rat can come visit you. In general because the hotel offers cheap rates is used by group tours and if you are an independent traveler run away from this hotel It is definitely not 4 stars, i’d say perhaps 2? It is uncomfortable to stay in this hotel. Very much so…

My stay was short, however being a golden member I must mention the positives and negatives to you hoping you can consider them as constructive criticism. I had arrived after flight delays and was extremely tired, being located to another building was a first not so good impression, never the less the room was amazing in all aspects and the hygiene is exceeded expectations, however the fact is the internet connection did not work at the other building stopped me carrying my business activities. staff at reception were amazing and very polite however the problem was not fixed. the breakfast bar was great and variety was amazing, however a very long queue did not Allowe me to grab my coffee before driving to airport and my morning coffee is extremely important for me.

ON ARRIVAL I WAS TOLD THAT I HAD BEEN UPGRADED TO A PRESTIGE ROOM, HOWEVER THIS ROOM WAS NOT IN THE MAIN HOTEL BUT IN A NEARBY STREET. I STATED THAT I WISHED TO STAY IN THE MAIN HOTEL WHERE I HAVE ALWAYS STAYED ON PAST TRIPS TO PALERMO. I WAS ALLOCATED ROOM 203, A ROOM WITH NO VIEW BECAUSE OF OPAQUE GLASS WINDOWS WHICH GAVE OUT ON TO THE IRON FIRE ESCAPE STAIRS..

Helpful staff, good location, nice room with a bath, always a bonus. The only problem was that there was a buzz in the room that we heard at night which didn’t help us sleep.
