The hotel is very modern. Multiple USB and power points in the room. Mattress on the bed was great. The bed coverings are man made and lead to excessive perspiration. So I awoke in a lake it felt. Breakfast buffet is good however it takes 20 min sometimes to get a tea/coffee (a self serve option needs to be offered) and the price for the breakfast is extremely high, even for this grade of hotel. Other than the above, the hotel staff service is great with a smile as expected. Changing elevators to get to rooms from the entrance is a pain and confusing. However not much can be changed to fix this.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed. Great experience.

This has been one of the best hotels we have stayed. Prior to us arriving in Seoul, they responded to all my requests and questions such as restaurant bookings and airport transfers without any issues. We booked a limo transfer and we were duly picked up at the airport. When we arrived at the hotel, Cherry was there to welcome us. She guided us thro the hotel and got us checked in. The room key caused a problem so Cherry took us to the guest services area in 5th floor. Every staff we met were extremely gracious and very pleasant. Our room was absolutely amazing. It was spacious with an extremely comfortable bed. We had an amazing river and view of the highest building! Our hotel is right beside the Lotte Mall and line 2 subway so it is extremely convenient. The whole area is extremely clean and spacious. We know this is not exactly city center but we love the hotel. The restaurants they recommended were absolutely superb. This is a great hotel. Amazing staff. Excellent location.

Mixed Experience at Sofitel Ambassador Seoul - Modern Rooms but Service Needs Improvement

We stayed at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul for three nights with another couple, booking two rooms through the AMEX Platinum Hotel Collection. While my friend received a room upgrade, we unfortunately did not even though we checked in at the exact same time. The staff said the hotel was at capacity, but the explanation didn’t make sense given our identical check-in timing, and the interaction felt a bit unfriendly. The rooms themselves are modern and comfortable, and the hotel has a nice kids’ play area with plenty of children’s books, which is a great touch for families. The location is excellent right next to Lotte Shopping Center with many restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores within a short walk. However, several aspects of the stay were disappointing. The “Lake Room” upgrade definitely wasn't worth it. The view was more of the neighboring building’s HVAC system than the lake, so I’d recommend staying on lower floors instead. The elevators were also extremely slow, which became frustrating. The breakfast setup was particularly unpleasant. They operate on three strict time slots and repeatedly reminded us how much time we had left to eat, even though we were far from exceeding the limit and half the restaurant was empty. Being told multiple times to hurry felt unnecessary, rushed, and not at all a relaxing or enjoyable dining experience. Breakfast itself was good, but since it isn’t included with AMEX FHR, it becomes expensive over multiple days. Throughout the hotel, the service felt inconsistent and not very friendly. The pool and kids’ area were nice, but the air conditioning in our room never cooled properly it seemed like there was a temperature limiter. Overall, the hotel has modern facilities and a great location, but service issues, the strange breakfast system, and several inconveniences made the stay less enjoyable than expected.

An excellent stay experience from start to finish. The property is well-appointed and quaint, offering stunning views. The service is impeccable as the staff strive to deliver the highest of standards. Special thanks to Ms. Annette Ha and Mr. Woody Son for the pre-arrival arrangements and Ms. Jay Kang and Mr. Kus Kim for the warm welcome. Club Millisme team demonstrated enhanced standards, evident in the personable efforts of Andy (who facilitated an efficient check-in), Jason Kim (who concocts the best whiskeys and teas), Lina (who assisted me with forthcoming reservations), Evelyn, Cherie (Sujin Yang), Ginny, Stella, Hyun, Rachel, Hazel and Sera, who exemplify top hospitality standards. My appreciation to Mr. Joo-Hang Song, who manages the club professionally, even during peak times, where requests and specifications are fulfilled expeditiously. His demeanour and ability to banter effortlessly is notable. The room is consistently refreshed, thanks to an attentive housekeeping team and it was heartwarming to receive a mural lotus 🪷 design on the mirror by Zoe and Sue from the Guest Relations team. Beyond this sanctuary, the property is a sheer delight, embellished with friendly dispositions by the likes of Rooms division staff, Mr. Lucas (who is always stylishly suited up), Ms. Selena Lee, Ms. Gina Oh and Concierge staff, Mr. Danny, Mr. Josh, Harrison Lee, Jaden, James and Arthur. The GM, Mr. Vincent Gernigon, is constantly interacting with guests and adds a valued touch of sophistication to the stay experience. I relished conversations with him on parisan luxury and finesse. Certainly, my favourite aspect this round would be the tea voyage sessions at L'Espace. The keen curation by Ms. Hammin and attentive service by Ms. Jasmine Kwak, Ms. Laura and Mr. Aesop, make it a place to revisit. I truly anticipate my upcoming stay. Dr. Sam Jay Yeo Singapore

Great Location - Fantastic Staff!

We had a lovely three day stay at the Sofitel Ambassador. The hotel is conveniently located near Jamsil station, Lotte World Amusement Park, Lotte Tower, and Lotte World Mall. We really enjoyed utilizing this hotel as a home base as we explored the city! The rooms are large and new - We were luckily upgraded to a Park View room overlooking Lotte Amusement Park and Lotte Tower. We enjoyed seeing the beautiful scenery from our window. Staff were fantastic - Always very welcoming and spoke perfect English. The rooms are soundproof and very quiet. We very much enjoyed out stay and would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Seoul!
