Disappointing Poor Service. Stay Elsewhere

I stayed in this hotel because it was one of the recommended hotels for the conference I attended. While it was conveniently located in Gangnam and it's a clean hotel, that is about all it has to offer. Across the board, the service in the hotel is not good--actually it's quite poor. I had a few little requests (a bar of soap, some extra hangars) which they just couldn't seem to help with. Each time they would promise action and never do anything or follow up. Honestly, I'd rather be told "no" than be told yes and then never actually get anything. I had the same experience trying to use a meeting room. Lots of scurrying around and promises to follow up, but no actual follow up. The piece de résistance was standing next to the bellhop in front of the hotel as he watched me struggling to get my bags into the cab and he didn't move a finger to assist, and then proceeded to wave goodbye. Bottom line: this is not a cheap place, and you can do much much better in Seoul at this price point. I suggest you do just that.

Great stay in twin room. Thanks to front desk Vecky gave me a free room upgrade! So I could stay in a high floor than I was expected. There are subway station nearby, and lot of Korea pubs, restaurants, and shopping centers. It was a wonderful time.

Superb & Luxurious Seoul Hotel

The room is decent in size for a single occupant person. Room is clean, bed was large and comfortable, air con perfect in temperature, including a desk for workspace, coffee maker, refrigerator was also available, bathrobes, hotel slippers, amenities available. Large television with many Korean networks. I just wish the shower had shelf space for my personal items. There are a total of 5 elevators, 3 on one side and 2 on the other. There was something strange about the middle elevator on the three sided one. It would make stops on floors that weren’t pressed, making you want to get off one of the floors to call another elevator. What’s great about the hotel is that it is directly connected to the subway station, shopping mall filled with restaurants, shops and movie theater. You’re right in the middle of Seoul and just minutes away from Itaewon and all the nightlife that comes with it. There is a fitness center which I will try out on another visit. Breakfast buffet that is something my work colleagues have experienced and I’d like to try it out as well. I was on 15F with a gorgeous view of the city skyline. A coffee shop is conveniently located downstairs, and there is also a casino connected to the hotel. Safety is really important when staying at a hotel, I’ve found it that way. A very nice hotel for my first time to Seoul.

Some good, some bad, but one of the best value hotels in Gangnam

I'm torn on this hotel. It's undoubtedly good value for money given the excellent location and it's overall presence with a 5-star heritage as a former Ritz-Carlton location. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and reasonably well appointed. The buffet and room service food is also excellent, if perhaps slightly overpriced. On the negative side, the hotel is starting to show its age. The bathroom is old and the shower is an old-school 'stand-in-the-tub' style (unless you pay for one of the upgraded, renovated rooms). Also, over the years, I've probably stayed there more than 25 times overall but at no point did I get a "welcome back" by the staff there or any kind of frequent guest recognition whatsoever. For that reason, I don't have any loyalty to the hotel and would happily consider staying somewhere else in the future.

Good location, big hotel

Big hotel with big sauna. Medium size gym but always busy with outside member. Not comfortable. Hotel a bit old but still luxury. They charge amenities (toothbrush and shaver) in Seoul hotel, that's not comfortable for guest. Staff in restaurant very tight with time. You must leave restaurant no compromise. For 5 star hotel, i think make some guest not comfort. Location ok. 5 minutes walk to subway sinnanhyeon (exit 4) and 15minutes to gangnam station. But road from subway to hotel is uplevel. Not comfortable if you walk with luggage.
