A lovely stay in an atmospheric Riad in the Kasbah district

We stayed at the Riad Angsana Heritage Collection - Lydines. The location was amazing, in the Kasbah district, that meant a good 20 - 25 minutes walk through the local streets to the main square. Cars/tourist vans park in an area about 100m from the Riad and then when they are close they phone the Riad who then sends someone to bring you and your luggage as cars cannot get through the narrow streets. We had room 7, which was a quiet room on the first floor up a flight of narrow stairs, overlooking the courtyard (pool and breakfast area). Smoke from the chimney filled our room overnight (as it was cold so the staff put in a fire in the lounge area). It was a lovely room with king size bed and seating area. There was a terrace area on the roof, but during our time at this road it was cold, rainy and windy most days so we did not use it. On a walk around it looked ideal to spend an evening later in the year. It was very clean and well prepared room. Lovely staff who could not do enough to help. They helped us navigate the Kasbah and Medina with points of interest so we could find our way around. Breakfast was served at your table overlooking the pool in the courtyard of freshly made bread, cake and eggs of choice. Lovely yoghurt and fresh fruit and freshly made orange juice on your table whilst the fresh breakfast is made to order .Great fresh coffee. Perhaps have a menu for guests so they know what is on offer as we did not know eggs were on the menu until another guest ordered them. Fresh water was provided daily and all coffee, tea etc updated. A fridge was also in the room. No TV available, but the wifi was quick. No food or drinks were available at this road outside of breakfast. You can make a restaurant reservation at one of the Riads within the Angsana Heritage Collection (located within the Medina). The toilet flush was not working on our arrival, which was reported to staff. The staff tried their best to resolve it during our stay but eventually it was fixed on our last day with a completely new toilet fitted by a plumber. It meant that we had the noise of a flush constantly going during the night. We loved our stay here and despite the toilet flushing through the night we had a good sleep on a comfortable mattress.

We were so glad we booked at the Agsana Heritage Collection, the staff were all so helpful and friendly, and we felt we had a really authentic experience eating amazing local, organic food at the restaurant and were given tips on how the explore the city and beyond. The location in the old town was perfect walking distance to explore, but just tucked away out of the hustle and bustle so was really peaceful. Highly recommend!

A Magical Stay

Staying in Riad Blanc of the Angsana Heritage Collection was really an amazing experience for all our senses! After a warm welcome with a tea ceremony we got to figure out which oriental scent we liked the most so our pillows would get that scent. Our room was situated in a beautiful little city palace and we had the best nights ever sleeping abroad! The breakfast is a moment of joy while having a good time sitting in the cosy patio. In the evening one can go for a real discovery of colours and taste, every plate  served is candy for the eye and delicious in many different ways. Last but not least, all the staff members are so kind and helpful. They meet all your needs and take away your sorrow so one will have the best time ever staying in Marrakech! We can only recommend this very nice and even magical Riad!

Had a wonderful stay! The location is great and the staff were extremely helpful. We were also issued with a mobile phone to assist us find our way around the souk/medina.

Lovely quiet spot in traditional setting in Medina but well located to get to main square. Really appreciated the free mobile and made great use of Google maps! Hotel charming- very clean and elegantly decorated with little nooks to relax in. Huge bathroom and wonderfully comfortable bed. Good breakfast in lovely setting. But the best bit are the staff. They work well as a team and manage to achieve a perfect balance of attention to detail, being discreetly in the background yet making you feel part of a close family. Amazing experience
