Dear 529leilah, While I am pleased that you were impressed with the scenic view of the Gulf of Thailand from our Lobby; I regret to learn that your experience at our resort did not meet your expectations. Kindly note that there was no intention to mislead or deceive you on the availability of your villa upon arrival. Our ability to extend an early check-in is entirely dependent upon our occupancy on the given date. Regretfully, we were unable to provide this for you; however, our Villa Attendants from Housekeeping worked diligently to prepare your villa for check-in as soon as possible. It is disappointing that you found our facilities to be outdated. Our guests are typically surprised to learn that our resort is 14 years old - having opened on 1 July, 2010 - and often give praise for the overall condition of our facilities. I regret that you did not feel the same. In order to maintain a high level of quality, we have a villa and public areas maintenance program in place that functions on both a quarterly and annual basis to rectify the damages caused by guest use and weather conditions as well as to provide preventative maintenance. With a range of villa options on offer across our 88 villas, please note that there are a variety of locations and views available. As such; we are able to cater to the particular preferences of our guests whether it be enhanced privacy, sensational views from the loft of the resort, more or less sun exposure, close proximity to our facilities with our villas at the base of the resort among various others preferences. It would have been our pleasure to cater to your personal needs and to allocate you to a villa within walking distance of our beach and main pool areas, so that you did not need to rely on a buggy for transfer. While our beach does have rocks in the seabed, common terrain in most bays on Samui, we do provide protective shoes for our guests should they care to take this precautionary measure while they swim and have a few channels that make it easy to access the deeper areas just off the shore. In recent years, these rocks were covered with sand, but the conditions changed after a recent tropical storm. We hope that with the monsoon season later this year that the conditions may return to their usual state and provide an enhanced experience for our guests. We recognize that incidents may arise among our guests during their stay, and it is our aim to rectify each and every one of those cases in order to turn guests around to be ambassadors of our brand. I have already shared your comments with our team for their acknowledgement and to take appropriate action in order to deliver an enhanced experience for our future guests. 529leilah, thank you for your stay with us. Dear ffrraanncckk, Thank you for visiting our resort during your travels to Samui. Typically, we receive positive reviews for our award-winning Banyan Tree Spa Samui; however, it is with my sincere regret to read that your experience did not meet your expectations and did not deliver the value for money that you anticipated. Moreover, it is disappointing to learn of the shortcomings which occurred while you awaited your taxi in our Lobby Lounge. While I am not trying to discredit your comment, I have investigated with our team and there was no record on the date of 25 February of refusing to permit you to access our complimentary Wi-Fi service nor to prevent you from taking a seat and enjoying the view. The feedback that was received noted that our Spa Receptionist politely informed you that outside guests are not permitted to walk around our resort grounds unattended as per our security policy. Your comments are important to us and I have already shared this with our team for their awareness. ffrraanncckk, thank you once again for your visit and we hope to have a future opportunity to welcome you back for an improved experience at our Sanctuary for the Senses!
